Colorado DMV reports statewide outage after CrowdStrike incident

The Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles reported technical difficulties which is affecting all state driver's license offices. Colorado's DMV is contacting customers who have appointments to reschedule.

We've become so dependent on online services that as soon as they go down people are trapped (airlines), cant get to work by bus if its even open, and people can't go to the DMV to handle something they may need right away. Dont get me wrong, tech is not bad. We just need to be more prepared when stuff like this happens.

Thankfully for my company, it was a super easy fix. I was able to open a pdf from my email in my work phone and have instructions for fixing it myself through the command prompt.

I'm so glad got my renewal license plates - before the colorado dmv went on crowdstrike 😅 those anti-robitics "suck" that's why it's slowly ppls internet connection while tons are running same service and why king scoopers couldn't take my registration card to renew my state sticker !?!?!?
