I'm LIVING the experience. I live in a VERY dangerous apartment building in Aurora. I drive the city three hours each day for work. Aurora is a true nightmare. I'm doing everything I can to flee to another city. I can't believe these people. They have ZERO empathy for the citizens. All they do is complain. They make no effort whatsoever to assimilate. Last I was told we have to learn to understand their celebratory gunfire night after night after night. Meth labs EVERYWHERE. Child neglect right in the streets. No license plates or insurance on thousands of cars. Trash in the streets like I've never seen before. Car theft rings line the streets. Migrants now have their own flatbed tow trucks. They just lift your car and poof! They bring your brand new pearl white BMW SUV on over to my street on their flatbed. Everyday I see the parting out of the nice cars. They park wherever they choose and I mean wherever. Police sirens ALL DAY LONG. The Denver police and the Aurora police scream through the cities all days long. Swat teams EVERYWHERE. And a governor who says it's all our imagination. I'm LIVING the "experience" and it's a true nightmare here every single day.

I left Aurora 3 months ago and am working on not clenching my teeth at night, not locking my car door from driveway to apt with groceries etc. Defense mechanisms are built in me for complete survival. Hopefully you can get out. I was scared shitless more and more!

I'm sorry. I live in Denver and almost moved to Aurora, until friends who lived in Aurora. Luckily they moved out several months ago to get better assistance for their autistic son. Denver mayor is all in for helping the illegals here, and was upset that Lakewood refused to take anymore of our illegals. I believe those of us who pay for car and health insurance, property taxes, should no longer pay or get that back when we submit our taxes. I'm going Willy Nelson here about taxes, but if we are required to prove we are legal for work, car insurance, pay rent/mortgage, property taxes, licenses plates we should get our money returned. Otherwise they will be forced to crack down on this when some famous celebrity the entire world knows or too many children die from the illegals. And they do fail to assimilate. I'm worried about my parents, I live with them (help caregive and well rent is cheaper than an apartment) and if we get broken into they are nearly 80 yrs old and don't move fast. We don't live downtown, but it's only a matter of time, unless there's plenty of neighbors like us where we'd say cut it out. And leave us alone, as that's not how you treat people you want to live nearby. I want to move, but no where is cheap enough, or I have to move states.

My lived experience working with unhoused people has resulted in me seeing “immigrants” killing ducks/geese in Framingham and Natick MA. The majority drove off in cars so I don’t believe they were unhoused. The community didn’t have many speak up until they killed a couple swans. This was 2008-2010. MSM prior to the debates was actually prepping the audience to hear about ducks/geese and attempted to downplay it by saying hunting is legal in the US. Once Trump mentioned dogs/cats they hyper-focused on “pets” and stopped talking about ducks/geese. I also saw this occur around Boston and Central Park NY 2012-2014 . This summer I witnessed immigrants at the Cape Cod Canal keeping everything they caught regardless of the size restrictions, EPO’s didn’t respond. Have seen this for years at local ponds as well fishing and witnessing them fill 5g buckets with fish…

The trick is to see it from both sides. I was once angry, just recently actually, about the massive influx of people. And it is a very uncomfortable situation for many. My anger changed to compassion when I saw a mother and little girl sitting at an intersection begging for $. The little girl was sitting on the ground playing with some sticks or something while all of the other kids were at school... a very very sad thing to see. This is the reality of ours and other cities. We can't rely soley on the government to do something, they are probably swamped. I think churches and just good people in general should find a way to help with the situation. Even just some food and maybe a school book or something educational for a kid at an intersection could make a difference if enough people chipped in, even just a little. Not forever, just until the government figures out what to do with them.

I have empathy for people who want to come here trying to make a better life. For far too long our country has made the path to citizenship long and expensive. We should be creating an efficient way to become a citizen. We can weed out the criminals and people who want to live off the taxpayer. Just an FYI, Unfortunately many of the people who panhandle with their children on the streets are scammers. They'll collect money all day and drive off in an luxury car.
