CT West _ Segment 16 - "You get to see what my legs and arms do." 8-6-22 Ditching high altitude lake life for some old fashion hitchin'. Torn about leaving a human trace, we hop some rocks and 'trust the gut' on the way into town.

Wow, great video! The Colorado Trail is awe-inspiringly beautiful. Well, you look like a rich-boy dirty hiker… so I might think about picking you up! 😂

Wow! I'm not sure if that's a compliment or an insult..but I like it either way! 🤗 Thanks

Since you asked, I would, indeed, pick you up on a hitch. I think anyone who has ever hiked is always a little eager to pick up a hitching backpacker. 😊

A well meaning hitch can be so comforting after marching through the wilderness, weathering the elements, with the sole goal of reaching a town, to replenish your necessities, and enjoy the clean creature comforts of civilization. I did trail magic (food/drinks/supplies) this past summer to pay back the goodwill I received on my thru in 2021. The whole time I had the thought for this summer to offer free shuttles in ME/NH where cell service and towns are sparse. Thanks for the rhetorical ride!

I just really like hyperlite and to me when I see a hyperlite bag it says you’re a hiker.

"Pie-ka" not "peek-a" Otherwise really nice videos!

Duly noted and thank you for watching! Pika were the more intriguing wildlife I have experienced while hiking. They always brought a smile to my face.

I've heard people say pika both ways and I've never known which was correct. 😊

@@rosev9802 I leaned towards PeeKa because of the similarity to the cute yellow pokemon.

@Left Enright yes, I think that's where all the mispronounciation started, but really, both are acceptable. Still, the really , true, best is "Pie-ka" I tell you!
