@@LeftEnright I completed the first three sections last August, had to leave because I had the stupid covid and was SO ill. ( I did not know that I had been exposed shortly before heading to CO.) The plan is to get back out there this year. 🤞

They piled up downed timber from the fire which was years ago. Then had controlled burns to get rid of the trees and brush, branches. That's what the fire circles are from.

Thanks for the clarification and watching. It was an oddly sporadic yet planned looking set of burnt rings to have been lightning...I was probably dehydrated and not as sharp minded 😅

You saw that somebody left something behind and didn’t pick it up and take it with you? The vast majority of hikers are going south and no bikes are in that section. Why not try to get it to its owner?

Rather than move it arbitrarily down the trail, further from where it may have been dropped, I chose to leave it. Given the early time of day, that someone else had placed it on the post and the item appeared to have been there awhile.
