Thank you sir, credit to you and Mr. Nate for the great ideas as well as a few other folks I found online. This little boat was so much fun out on the water, my first trip I didn't catch anything, the fish must have taken labor day weekend off too lol, but I still had a blast with this little toon, gets you into all the hard to get places!

Nicely done, Ramon! The only way this video could be better - and I know it's asking a lot - is if you included the links to those other KZbin people who you said have other good pontoon boat modification ideas.Also, I didn't quite catch (no pun intended) the model number of your depth finder. How do you like it? Now that you own it, do you wish you had gotten anything else? How are you powering it?Thanks so much for your sharing your inspiring modifications!

Hey Ramon, I like the fish finder mount and oar holder. I just got my xts mod's done too. I heard you say you haven't taken it out yet. I'd like to know if you have the same issues as I with it tracking straight. I ended up dropping the oars in the water and that solved the problem. I also bought and 8" riser for the seat to give me better leverage throwing and setting hook ups, the double wheel is also a great thing to move it around. I will post a video as soon as I get mine painted :)
@titanpredatorwolf76538 жыл бұрын
I took it out the weekend after I posted this video and it did great, however those rod holders I made for it just got in the way so I took them off. I also matter of fact just completed the double wheel mod for it yesterday, the single wheel just made it hard to maneuver to the water, I'll be posting a follow up video to this to show the wheel mod too. I can say like the majority of people who have purchased this little vessel, I absolutely LOVE this thing, I didn't catch anything the day I took it out but it was more a testing out trip to get to know her but next trip is with the purpose of serious fishing. The fish finder mounted on the trolling motor was great too and having the swivel seat definitely helps, however I do recommend a better seat or a cushion cause after being on it for 12 hours you will definitely feel it.
@bigkahunainbama81848 жыл бұрын
+Ramon Olivas what size PVC did you use for fish finder bracket?
@titanpredatorwolf76538 жыл бұрын
That was 1" black poly pipe from The Home Depot, 2' piece was $1.50 and more than enough for the rest of the things I've used to modify this thing.
@titanpredatorwolf76538 жыл бұрын
I really didn't have much problem with it tracking straight even with the day being very windy when I was out on it. The lake floor was straight mud and the anchor bag with rocks helped the trolling along the bank very much as it dragged on the floor.

I think why your not experiencing any sway with your boat is because you used the proper motor, most people have been using the 40 pound thrust and your only supposed to use a 30 pound thrust motor, and if people would spend some more money they can get the lithium deep cycle marine battery off amazon for$ 345 and wouldn’t have to worry about mounting the trolling motor to the front because the battery weighs only 10 pounds compared to an acid battery that weighs 50 to 60 pounds. Huge difference, thanks for the idea how to mount the fish finder and oar holders. Happy fishing
@experimentalfishing12926 жыл бұрын
I modded the rear end of mine with 2 boyees ( under each side of rear basket ) . Didn't want a front motor cuz I like leaving the front end free. I dont't even bring the oars anymore. I just keep a telescopic one and keep it in the rear pouch.
