This was the song played at my 23 year old brother's memorial service. He died in a car accident right before Christmas in 2004. He was colorblind. It's so incredibly powerful & completely heartbreaking for me. I love you, Justin, & I miss you with every ounce of my being.

this song deserved so much more attention when it first was out and cruel intentions. it is a very deep song about being scared to love and care for people the lyrics are so strong and im glad to see yall made a video to it. atleast a younger generation is getting to experience music and artistic vision together for a older song .

So sad and sweet, I can just listen to this, not minding that the clock is just ticking away. It just gives me this sort of lost feeling, yet I'm fine with that. You know that a song is good when you don't have to dance to it, and can just...be still and listen. Honestly, Counting Crows don't record these types of songs, but it's one of their best.

This song reminds me of my grandpa's funeral. I refused to cry or grieve, (Since i had COMPLETELY broke down 2 days b4.) and I felt numb. I wouldnt let anyone else see me grieve again. ("No one gets to come in.") I found myself beginning to pain, so I hid in a different room. I layed on the ground telling myself "I am fine, I am fine." Finally I got it together, and left that room to face my Grandpa's body.

I was just thinking this is one of the best videos, illustrating exactly the state of mind which the song is supposed to transmit. The girl acts the role with incredible little display for such a great effect in transmitting the emotion, the message of the song: dealing with a monochrome life in a colorful world, trying to understand what others see, live, enjoy. It's both a direct message and a metaphor.

This is a very beautiful song, it perfectly captures how I feel at times. It makes me sad when I listen to it though, and in most cases, it makes me cry. I always wonder what the real meaning behind the song is, for the singer; seeing how it means so many different things to everyone else.

It's funny. There is a Chinese epic 90's song titled as "色盲" (by Faye Wong), which means exactly "color blind". Both these two songs started growing on me the first time I heard them.
