Good tutorial. But it was cracking me up how you didn't know the parts of the flower. Those are petals, not leaves. Leaves are the green things lol. And the cool thing in the middle is the pistil and stamen. But I really enjoyed this video!

Wouldn't it be easier just to trace the shape of the flower on to the canvas, or draw it freehand with chalk first? if you make a mistake with the paint it's not so easy to correct.

This is lovely! As for the background, if I paint the background colors and let it dry overnight, can I start painting the flower the next day? Or will the background smear? I don't have any sort of sealing material that I can put over the background, I don't know if this is necessary.

if you paint your background in acrylics you can start painting on it with in an hour of competing the background as acrylics dry fast
