Great tutorial. Quick tip: Instead of going crazy to scale and position a new circle, you could simply copy a circular set of vertices from the barrel itself and then separate it. Then fill it. And you're good to go.

Hey, i tried this and the smoke domain cube has a shadow when rendered... please help.

When you add the attribute node (when adding material to the smoke) DO NOT capitalize the "d" in density

why my smokes didnt appear after i give it attribute node? the math didnt do anything with tweaking too cus the smoke cant be seen even with 1000 value, the smokes appear when theres no attribute node
@apoxs90746 жыл бұрын
and i think the problem come from volume scatter when i connect the attribute to it

Can you make a tutorial about reflection catching? Being able to do it in Blender would be incredible
@figarybka13936 жыл бұрын
You can almost do it, with the latest build 'glass transparency feature'. One thing missing is a capability masking immediate world reflections and we've got it ;)

Great video man, but I think it would be better if you had more of an idea of your target audience. No absolute beginner will want to know how to make a realistic smoke simulation in blender, only people who probably know blender well, so you for example describing that you press r to rotate an object seems strange and wasteful to me. I've watched many of your videos by now and this is something that I keep seeing in many of your videos, and I think your videos would get even better if you thought a bit more about this.

Thanks for the advice! I'll try and keep this in mind for future videos :)

I think on KZbin, your target audience is every one at every level, you can pick what you want to learn, how and when. When I am working with blender i search topics and issues i have to find solution's. Some beginners will have been draw to blender to just want to learn how to do a smoke sim, they perhaps like the idea they can do that. All this think about your audience to me is old thinking, your audience is every one every where around the world, you can drop in when and learn at what pace you work at. Keep up the good work
@heyitsmejm47926 жыл бұрын
it depends on the audience... if they think its too complicated and is not on their priority they can just skip the vid.. not to mention there are tons of basic blender tutorials in youtube..

What is the idea with the background music? It is so annoying and unnecessary...
@Tiim6 жыл бұрын
There is no background Music..

I stand corrected. The background music stops at 1:30. Some of the other CGC Weekly videos do have background music, which I find annoying. But thanks for correcting me...
