I bought their ones in the dark blue palatte with a blue box last Christmas with the sort of pyramid shape top and they are gorgeous, the blues look like starry night skys and the violets, they are a different set as there's no flash colours in it but they are really glittery

Yeah those are the newly formulated paints you have. They changed them up when they changed the packaging :)

Yeah the glitter didn't show up well on a 140 lbs cold pressed paper, but did on my softer watercolor paper from US Art Supply. That said, I'm going to try them in some coloring books and other pages before I decide for sure.

I must be OCD Kori, I also swatched those on black watercolor paper; they’re glittery on black. Yes I wrote the numbers in black sharpie on the bottom of the pan and kept the wrap with my swatch chart. Tfs! 🥰👍🏾

Yes, swatching on black is totally great, BUT, I always swatch on white because my watercolor sketchbooks and coloring pages are white; thus, I want to see what they look like on white paper since that's where they will actually be used lol.

Oh I love the Paul Rubens glitter paints. I have the smaller set. I love to use it on backgrounds and special effects, like on mermaid tales. Curious, how you will like them.

I think the colors in this set are really pretty. Maybe a few just to similar, but Im no Watercolor expert. I do hope you have fun with them. 😄 Thanks for the video!

Some look similar when concentrated yes, and sadly the pigment numbers weren't on these for me to verify if they used the same pigment or not. But, when you water them down and such they are different

@@ColorfullyOptimistic Just wanted to add ,. I noticed that after they dried they looked even better. Yes just doing a swatch doesnt really give them justice, they deserve. You know what I mean. I'm sure they will work out good for you. 🌝

Bought these for Amazon prime day, then watched your video. I should’ve watched you first! I agree totally; there are so many useless browns and dark reds, and not ONE good natural green. Some glitter way more than others. Returning it.

I love mine…I have a few different sets from various places and diff prices and mediums. The ones I use the most are a kids set in a pallet…like the one sold by Hobby Lobby…I’ve used them all up…that’s where my hunt for a replacement started…🥰🤣ty very enjoyable to watch..🥰

Oh that's a good idea. One day, I want to take all of my favorite cakes and create my own palette. I'd love to make my own watercolors, but I just don't have that level of creativity haha

Just now watching, and crape myrtle is a tree that is popular in the southeast suburbs because it is hearty and doesn't have long roots or grow very tall (good for houses that are close together). They flower for about a month in the spring with beautiful flowers close to the color of the paint. They are pretty ugly the rest of the year, lol. Thanks for this video, I got the 12 on sale recently and haven't tried them yet. I wasn't going to splurge for the whole set after watching this, but then I saw your top 10 purchases for 2021 and you have come to like them?

Oh yes! I do. I wish they got more attention but I have soooo many palettes I have to almost remind myself to break them out haha

They have crap for purple Colors, yes you totally could have gotten a better assortment of greens, so many Golden's an yellows, and only 1 true orange to speak of. TFS sweetie it was certainly informative ❤️❤️🥰

Yeah the purples were really sad in this selection, but, even if they are glitter, luckily I can make myself a purple or two :). Some odd ways they fill the palette. So funny to see how each manufacturer picks the cakes for their collections.
