not easy, but now I know one more way how to use chalk pastels. I used to use it like watercolour. thank you

You can 'clean' a tortillion by sharpening it with a blade like you would a pencil, or rubbing it on sand paper. 👍

Good reminder! I bought proper sketchbooks for my drawing class. So I’ve been using the same sketchbooks as the class recently. And then Roger bought me a Japanese one. But I’m sure I will still continue making them. They are small and light.

I have had really interesting results by using a wet brush to my conte crayons-- chalk pastels-- wondering if you've played around with water on these as well?
