I love those gansai tambi opal watercolours for snow, clouds, bubbles and fairy wings. Whether it's straight on the white paper (snow and clouds I'm particular) or over coloured pencils especially fairy or insect wings....gorgeous 🩷💚🩵💜💛 I also had a birthday (happy birthday) in March and also bought many books and that I don't need hehe 😝🤪😂

I really wanted to buy the Artisto Color Pencils but I missed out on the sale and ordered the watercolor pencils instead. I'm so shocked to hear about your issues with the regular pencils because the watercolor pencils are a dream. They apply creamy and dissolve beautifully. I guess I dodged a bullet.

I'm hearing the watercolor pencils are ranking much better than the colored pencils from them. I'm so glad you're having a good experience with them! Aside from the manufacturing issues, I do like the colored pencils overall. I will still use them some more and see how I feel. You all got my first impressions, which definitely were tainedted by the manufacturing defects. When you buy new you expect "in excellent condition" you know? Ah well, at that price point, it is worth the first impression, and I'll do a full pencil collection review soon and see where they land 😁 Thank you for watching! Have a great rest of your week! 💜💙💚

I almost bought the artists but decided after watching the top three I wanted the Kalours in the included case. They arrived and they are great….swatch cart was in order of how they were in the case and a nice lay down.

How many layers of pencil should you do? Or how many layers of pencil do you recommend?

It's very individual based on the pencil and paper, but layering lightly then doing some "smooshing" is good. I always recommend the carandache full blender too. It all helps!

Hi Kristina. Loved your haul and watching you color. I recently bought the Artisto colored pencils, and I like them, but they are not perfect by any means. My Sky Blue was mislabeled as well, and I received two of the same grays instead of a black, so I don’t really know how the black works. I think I still prefer my Brutfuner Squares as a budget pencil. Loved all of the pretty acrylic paints you purchased. Hope everything goes okay with your foot. Praying for you ❤😊🤗

I have the artisto watercolor pencils, and i love them, i thought the watercolor pencils were the review coloring bliss just did, i dont have the colored pencils though so i cant say about those. Great haul kristina❤

You may be right, come to think of it. Perhaps they did not have the manufacturing issue with the watercolors then. It was worth trying the colored pencils, though. I don't feel they're bad being laid down on paper but what a mishap on the rest. Have a great week! 🫶

That Artisto pencil mis-labeled as a green, IS REALLY SKY BLUE. been like this over a couple years at least, they have yet to FIX that. I personally love grays, but too many for a 72 set. ALSO, do not love how they perform. I could NOT believe Coloring Bliss loves these. I still hate them

Yes, that one is sky blue. She said the fixed everything. So how long are they selling old manufactured ones since that's what I got? I don't know. I couldn't be bothered to fight further. Yes. While I enjoy Coloring Bliss, I had a similar issue with her glitter gel pen recommendation. The ones she recommended are Aen Art. They barely show up on white and on black you only see silver glitter since the can’t reflect the colour of the ink. Alternative suggestions for glitter pens to use on black would be greatly appreciated.

Seeing the issues you had with the Artisto pencils, and the fact that they only refunded you $5 and I'm pretty sure they don't sell those pencils open stock, that makes me want to take them off of my Amazon wishlist. They knew there were problems so they should have just sent you a new set because $5 isn't going to fix the problems you have with your set. Quite frankly, I feel like a $5 refund is a joke because they don't seem to be taking it seriously even though they admitted that they know about the problems. If they were bought from Amazon I would return them. It definitely doesn't put this brand in a good light, but that's just how I see it😊

Agree. I should have returned them truly, but I thought let me see if I liked the pencils at all after using them on a couple of pages. We deal with breakage and such with Prismacolor, so I thought maybe let's see how they perform otherwise. Their solution really wasn't a solution, as you say, because I'm out of a pencil without open stock and one mismarked. For budget, in that range, I love the Kalour pencils. Plus, 300 pencils and no breakage. I'll atleast be able to give them a true comparison for a pencil review and a buyer beware statement indeed.

@@kristinasartcorner Yea I totally understand what you're saying. I've always thought of Artisto as a decent brand, and as far as quality they usually are, but the customer service you received was terrible. But at least they were one of the more budget friendly sets of pencils so it's not as big of a loss! I have heard a lot of people have trouble with Prismas breaking but I really haven't had that problem. I think the key to Prismas is the temperature in the room because if the room is really warm then they get softer, but if the temperature in the room is lowered they will get more firm. As for the Kalour pencils, I only have the pastel macarons set and I really liked how they lay down on the paper but I had trouble when I tried layering with Prismas over the Kalour, but I definitely love the Kalour brand, and from the few stories I've heard they are really great about customer service. I have been using my Polychromos a lot lately and I love them now that I have learned how to use them in a way that works for me! But I know they're not in the budget friendly category. I look forward to your reviews and hearing your thoughts! 🥰

Does the full set cost $180? Because at $2.50 refund per pencil, that is what the full 72 set would cost.

Not knowing that it was a "known" problem for all those that received them that way. I don't think so. But, each are entitled to their version of fairness. I don't care so much about my own pocket but rather those that just got the pencils that way and didn't know there was a known issue with manufacturing.
