This was ver informative. I just got my S6 and I love the Zlog tool it is amazing. I find myself not needing to use the primaries in Davinci which makes me feel like I can actually sstart using Final Cut Pro as a full solution for editing and color.

When I try exactly the same thing, it does not work. As soon as I drag the Z Log Color Grading on my timeline, my preview window turns red, with a that yellow warning sign. Please help. Hey! Format and record settings have nothing to do with the error you're experiencing. You're most likely not using the proper version of the plugin for your computer!

In the meantime I already figured it out. ;-) I had to upgrade my Mac OS and then FCPX to the latest version, to make it work. But I still have to use Z-Log as an image profile to make the Plugin do its job, don't I? :-)

Hello, I am trying to grade footage shot with Zraw, the input and output are set to zlog2 and then a creative lut on top of that. However, this causes my export to be complete off. Was wondering if you know what could be done to fix this? Thank you!

@@HaydenGoldsworthy no worries, I figured it out. It was a media encoder issue because the luts werent loaded into the encoder files.

Do you use Compressor for for exporting your videos? If I use the plugin Compressor can't export the video (error)! If I export in FCP it works.

I was going to ask the same thing. Then I just went into the Effects panel, typed "Z" into search, and it was there under "Z CAM."
