Tobey Maguire is one of the best actors of the last twenty years. Such a shame they don't cast him more often. Probably because Hollywood doesn't make movies for which he COULD get casted.

This movie depicts the reality of the real world, even though they *FALSELY* try to make it seem as though people who are moral and family orientated are dumb and ignorant and that a perfect trouble free life is boring, they still show you how everything goes wrong with sin, fornication, masturbation, reading false history books and wicked secular books instead of the Holy Bible, lusting after people’s spouses, adultery, antichrist educational systems. I’m telling you the truth that quitting sin and turning to Lord Jesus Christ leads to Heaven, true happiness is only found in Heaven! Don’t be deceived perfect will never ever be boring, if perfect was truly boring millions of people wouldn’t be getting cosmetic surgery, working to get rich so that they can have a ‘perfect life’. This movie feels like a euphuism for the 1960s. In the mid 1960s, when change began to really show, everyone from the silent generation had no idea how to react but baby boomers were literally inventing it. Many sg's didn't agree with this but it didn't matter as more and more boomers engaged in things like wood-stock and hippie stuff.

So are we just going to ignore how from their perspective the sister basically just disappeared one day, that the old show is now suddenly in color and suspiciously has a character who looks exactly like said sister, or the fact the old man had a magical remote and despite telling the boy not to change the show he does anyway but the old man doesn't appear at all after? No karma? Just oop my sister mysteriously disappeared and now I'm suddenly optimistic. Nothing wrong here. Old guy? What old guy? Never seen no old guy.

Not to praise the 1950's, but how is what came after, the consumption and celebration of the forbidden fruit, brought us closer to "culture" or "knowledge"? Cultural heritage has been systematically destroyed since then, just look around you at the same drab clothes all people wear. Regional diversity (something quite beautiful in the US) has been decimated. McDonald's, Walmart and Rap reign supreme....

There’s a amazing movie and book called “The Giver” The premise of the movie is that there is a place which is completely isolated from the rest of the world where everything is black and white and this place has very strict rules and everything is very systematic (for examples every child gets a bicycle at the age of 12) Don’t want to spoil to much but basically a boy Jonas is selected to be the “next giver” who is going to take memories from the previous giver (The giver is a person who stores all the memories like the memory of colour etc ) which causes Jonas to want to escape to experience the real world It’s a really great movie please make a recap on it Thanks 😊

@Malcolm Based Valentine living every day not knowing whether you’re gonna get hate crimes or lynched is not better than living with mental disorders. @Malcolm Based Valentine oh well the original comment alluded to racism in the 50s so i assumed that's what you were on about. "rather you lot go back to your homeland and learn your culture and racial roots." what do you mean by that? Every race and culture can move to any other area and have just as much culture and learn just as much about their culture as they would if they lived there.

Yeah. This is a terrible excuse. You don't throw away responsibility that easily. I noticed how in the movie the mom's infidelity was portrayed in good light, and then that "life isn't perfect" excuse they gave at the end confirms my suspicion about the narration. This excuse shows the lack of sympathy of the people who use it as they easily disregard the losses of the victim, and possibly their aim is to not be unconvenienced by the condition of the victims because they are in their environment, and hoping this will stop that situation. There are the right ways to handle everything though, and throwing things are not the right way, nor is cheating. Divorce is within your right, but disregarding children is not, nor it is with disloyalty.
