The fact that the boy got rejected by all colleges he applied for, and instead made his own college where students should be free and feel comfortable to be at. The college provided what most schools can't; the freedom to learn about what you want to learn and want you need; the ability to learn things by using your mind, thoughts, and however however want. Students should needn't to feel uncomfortable, scared, or bored about what they are learning. They should be able to learn using their creativeness. If there is a very selfless person out there, it would be wonderful to see someone create a college where all students choose and pick what they want to learn.

Well, you can learn from other people though digital content like here on KZbin or in different "digital academy" sites like skillshare. Heck, my college teachers even had us complete Udemy courses for assignments. 3 of my IT classes were just my teacher reading the NETGEAR online courses to us. You can learn stuff all the time you just have to search it out. It would be nice to have physical locations but I will admit that KZbin "classes" taught me more than any of my college courses did. You just need to know how to look sometimes instead of a general search. I usually get a lot more specific info if I find course books and look up the titles of chapters or even just look up the book "explanation/hints/study guide".

My 9th grade teacher put this movie on in a class called "Living in a Contemporary World" where none of the teachers knew what to do with. The class convinces her for a whole week that we were way behind the movie from where we were and we just goofed off watching this for a week. It always reminds me of having that awesome little break during a really stressful school year.

I got to say, this is actually a brilliant idea. People of all walks of life can actually come together and teach each other things. Some of them may have experience in what others want to learn. They can be their own teachers to each other. It’s technically like a large-scale, ongoing group project.

It is sad how many people ive seen finish college with a nice, shiny, fancy degree who cant find a job and jabe hundreds ands thousands of dollars in debts! I went to a 2 year welder/fitter school for 12 k and out of that 10 k was a grant. So 2 k i shelled out and the job i got paid that off in 2 weeks or so! Too many kids are being pushed into going to collegs with all the college prep,testing etc which is wrong! Every trade needs a hell of a lot of new people as many people are retiring and are not getting replaced fast enough.

at the end, the board did give them stipulations on how they could continue the college, it didn't stay as fun as it was in the start, they had to get certain facilities, have some regular classes and hire qualified teachers too.
