This is one of the best tutorials for coloring that I've ever seen. And she did it all in under 6 minutes. Awesome! I'll be using this advice to speed up my coloring process.

Thank you for your help. This video clearly explains coloring flats with the fill tool. I feel much more confident about this process. I hope you make more how to videos. I like Clip Studio but it is a mystery and the online manual is written as though we all know these techniques . Not all of us do and visual how to’s are so much better. Again, thank you. Your video is the best one I’ve come across. 👍🏼 😊

The instructions are very clear! But I’m having issues with these tools, when I try to fill in a color, it only fills in the lineart and not the object. How do I fix this??
@blueluminary5811 Жыл бұрын
I think that this is a layer issue. Try to create a layer under your lineart, and fill your drawing while selecting this layer. Let me know if that fixes it ! And thank you for your kind comment :)

Hello, is this only applies if the lineart is all closed (no gap)?
@blueluminary5811 Жыл бұрын
Hello :D ! This method works better with closed lineart. BUT, if your lineart have small gaps in it, you can always follow the instructions on minute 2:30, it will allow you to use the fill tool even with small gaps :) Hopes that helps :)

You can close the gaps in your lineart using the colors you want to color with, then use the technics I explained in the videos :)

Argh ! Lost me at 2nd step. I need a degree in computer science to know digital art ?!? 2 weeks in using Clip studio pro , 1st time digital art attempt. How do you simply color IN the lines , with out going over the lines? While using normal brushes and not worry about length of brushstroke. I saw the japanese doing this when they animate .
@blueluminary58114 ай бұрын
Hello :) i think you might be struggling with layers. To make it simple : create two different layers, one for the lines, and one for the colors. Put the colors layer under the line layer. You can use any method to color, and it won't go over the line ^^
