A few caveats for this strategy: 1. The two videos that this strategy comes from offer a hedge for the $75 DC in the form of betting a $5 Yo. From personal experience, you're better off Hopping the 7s for $6. You are much more likely to hit a 7 than an 11, and the Hop will pay $30 (since it's three separate $2 bets on each 7 dice combo). You can Hop the 7s for a higher amount, but keep it at a multiple of $3. Bumping it to a $9 Hop 7s will pay back $45. 2. The original videos suggest bumping odds on the Come bets from 2x to 4x (or table max) once you hit them once. I don't recommend this since the odds of hitting the same number a third time is a lot worse than the odds of sevening out. You also risk having more Right-side money on the table (your Pass, Come, and Place bets) than what the DC and Come will pay back in case you seven-out. 3. To simplify some of the payouts, use the 3x/4x/5x odds amounts for your Pass line and Come odds, but based off of a $5 bet. In other words, you make your $10 Pass/Come bet, then take $15 odds on the 4 & 10, $20 odds on the 5 & 9, and $25 odds on the 6 & 8. The payout when they hit will always be $40 ($10 for the flat portion and $30 for the odds). There are a lot of moving parts to this system, so keeping it simpler will help you see your proper payoff AND help the dealers out as well. 4. A bankroll of $300 is doable, but it's better to have more of a cushion for the possibility of losing the DC bet a few times. A $500 or $600 bankroll is more in line with what would be needed here. I've done this strategy a few times so far, and had success with it. You definitely need to practice it, so you can be accustomed to getting your bets out after each roll and knowing when to come Off on your bets and pull your Pass line odds, as well as putting them working again. I also had a dealer mistakenly take my $75 DC and put it on one of the numbers as odds once, so make sure you watch where your bets go too. You might want to do this strategy sans alcohol until you have it down cold. And keep up the good work Color Up!

I used this strategy on a $25 table. 25 pass line. Establish a point, $125 DC. Place bet everything but the DC and the Point, $25 Come. No odds on the pass. If a place bet hits, collect and only put $10 on odds so I can collect at least $25 on every hit. Was up $470 in an hour at the MGM at the National Harbor this past weekend.

On a separate note, I do make a couple changes to this strategy. First, when I bet the $75 on the don't come, I also play a $25 high Horn bet on the 11. The idea being that only the 7 can hurt you, the 11 will win you an additional $75 in addition to covering the $75 you lost, plus if a 2, 3, or 12 hits, you're looking at a $150 win. Second, when I win my first place bet, I don't immediate press the winnings on the come odds, instead I collect the first time the number hits in order to cover what's already out there, only after it hits a second time do I have them press it, I then repeat the process, collect then press till the odds are all maxed.

I tried this strategy in Reno this past weekend. Came home with a $550 profit after about 8 hours of craps. Very low risk. I added my own little twist to it. After I was up $40 on a roll, I placed $40 on my don't number to insulate against the $75 don't. Basically this paid for when the number was rolled and I had to re-up on the don't. I left the place bet up after it was rolled, and it ended up being rolled again several times....making even more profit. I usually only did this on 5-9....I didn't do it on 4 &10. Maybe I should have....or maybe it was just a fluke on how the dice rolled.

If you truly want action on every roll you would do a $100 ho-down (anything but seven) with a $100 hedge. Its a very risky system (as with all systems) but it works. I place $100 on the don't come and depending where it lands I place $25 on the 5, $30 on 6 and 8, $12 on the field. Its roughly around $10-$15 a shot, unless the shooter rolls the number you have on the don't come. You can try this system with lower at risk as well. You just want to hedge a small amount more then what you're betting and hoping the shooter can get a good streak and either take your bets down when you feel comfortable or play it out.

I've been playing this strategy on a phone app and I'm up $1500. I made a few modifications to make it easier on myself and the dealers if I was playing live. 1. On the Don't Come roll I hedge the 7, if I hit a 2 or a 3 then I'll just let it ride 2. Place a hard way bet of 1 unit if the Don't Come is an even number. This could even be modified to just be if the Don't Come is the 6 or 8 since the 4 and 10 are your ideal don't comes. 3. Instead of placing Come bets, I press on the first hit of each place bet then do a collect and press strat. This way there is just less moving pieces. I think this is just less moving parts and you don't have to keep a Come bet up. By Placing your bets this also gives you the ability to pull everything down if you feel the seven coming. Really been enjoying the videos though, keep it up!

if you are only betting 75 in the dc then your total bets should not exceed 80$ in risk, if you want to play odds on 10$, then your DC should be in the range of 200-300. If not then don't play odds and take the smaller pay out to ensure your dc has your active bets covered. And like the others have said below, hedge your come out dc bet on the yo, this limits to big red to lose your dc.

What do you do if you have that Don't Come out on the second roll and they hit the same number they came out on to begin with on their second roll? What do you do with that large Don't Come that is on the table on the new come out?
@ColorUp5 жыл бұрын
The don't come bet would move to whatever number is rolled on that second roll. For instance, come out roll is a 9, you bet the don't come. The second roll is a 9. The don't come bet would move behind the 9. The shooter hit his point so the puck would go off, and they would be coming out again. The don't bet on the 9 is still active. If the shooter rolls a 9 on the new come out roll the bet would lose, if the shooter rolls a 7 on the new come out roll, that don't come bet would win. Remember with the come and don't come, they are independent games from the pass line/ don't pass, like a game within a game.

Kerry Smithe’s improvement video is a bit better. You start with a pass and don’t pass. Then, lay odds on the don’t to protect your DC. This strategy needs about $400/500 buy in to be effective and cover the don't pass losses. Otherwise, it's a good strategy to keep bankroll moving . Won't win a lot unless the 7 rolls soon after the don't is laid. Won't lose a lot because of the don't hedge. I've played this a number of times and you have to keep your head in the game. I made small amounts of gain with each shooter. Depending on the don't pass number(6/8 or 4/5, 10), adjust the quantity of place bets and quantity of come bets to allow for hitting the Don't.

It loses if the scooter rolls your don't come number. I have been playing this strategy without much success. I tried to replace the come bet followed by odds with place bets and press. On a table with 3x4x5 odds the place bets are better and you can take them down if, for example, the don't come is on the 4 or on the 10. If a 7 rolls, you win the dont come bet without losing your other bets. Great feeling when it happens. Overall the strategy is fun. There is always a lot of action. At the casinos in Vegas dealers know it very well and they help you willingly if you reward them.

Interesting strategy. Thanks for posting it. I tried a variation of it except on the $10 place if a 4/10 wasn't a point, I bumped it to a $25 Buy instead once a 4/10 rolled, then pressed to $50 for the quick 2:1 payouts to make the bankroll climb back faster if the table was having shooters w/ short rolls. Then it's usually 'off' on the come out instead of remembering to mark it 'off' like a Place bet, in case I forgot on a busy table. Made a quick bank roll off it. Lucky rolls helped.

I played this strategy last night, and man is that second roll nerve racking. You can go down very quickly, but you can also make it up really quickly also! Also, if the 6 or 8 rolled, I took no action and went straight to the 3 point moly...... Thank you for your videos, I watch each one of them, and have learned a lot!

Kerry W Smyth added onto his original strategy with a Patrick System tweak to get the $75 Don’t Come on a number. He starts with Doey-Don’t on the come out and lays odds against the Don’t Pass to protect all or some of the Don’t Come bet against the 7 on the roll after the point has been established. Laying odds on the Don’t Pass side to get the Don’t Come established makes the worst number you can roll then whatever the point is, instead of the 7. You would lose the lay but again; only if a number which comes less often than the 7 repeats. The other hedge, if you choose, is to place a $5 yo to hedge against an 11 knocking off the Don’t Come. 11 loss is more than balanced by three occurrences of 2 and 3 so using the $5 yo isn’t absolutely critical. This is a fun strategy and I’ve personally had good success with it in the casino with people rolling when I’m not shooting..

Very nice system. I was wondering why you don't start the come out roll with the $75 DP vs $10 pass line then $75DC? By starting with the $75 DP you save a roll and you can place bet all the other numbers after your DP bet. In your technique, you risk the initial $10 also if a seven hits (I understand you could hit a 7-11 on come out roll). So, if you $75DP first roll you save a roll and have $10 less at risk. Please let me know. Thanks

As as craps player, the reason you wouldn't start off with a $75 DP is because you generally want to go with playing the right (light) side along with the rest of the table so you can cheer the hits along with the table. If you start off with a DP, you're rooting against the shooter.

Rule Question: At 4:18 you use the Off-Button for the Place Bets. I though this only happens during a new Come Out Roll, after the Point was hit. Where is my understanding mistake?
@fordcam2456 жыл бұрын
It happens automatically on the Come Out roll, and you have to ask the dealer any other time you want your place bets to be off. This strategy is all about hedging risk. So when you put $75 on Don't Come, you have the dealer mark your place bets off. That way if you shoot a 7 - the easiest number to roll - you've minimized your losses. You could take your place bets down instead, and then put them back when the Don't Come is established, but your dealer will hate your guts for making him work harder.
@ColorUp6 жыл бұрын
@jim ford Thanks for good explanation. I would add...You can ask the dealers to turn any of your bets off at any time except a pass line bet or a come bet and they will place the small marker on your bets. You could also just ask them to return them to you.

So if I do 7 out early I didn’t lose at all because I have $85 bet if I do get a 7 from the come and the DC bet but I only have $50 or less on all other bets. But that’s just my vision on it. If I’m not making sense let me know.

@John W I also tried the strategy with a simulator using $10 minimum bets. In 20 or so simulations, only a few ended with more than the $300 I started with. Never near $4000. One simulation, after quite a few rolls, the "Don't Come" hit, bye $75. At the time, the numbers were covered by $70 in place and come bets. Put the $75 in "Don't Come". Next roll was a 7. Lost $220 in two rolls. Good thing it was only a simulation. I must be doing something wrong with this strategy or it is the simulator.
@fhamidullah4 жыл бұрын
@@oldguy5119 If the don't come hits, you are supposed to turn off all place bets and odds. Sometimes i won't place another don't come until the point is hit or there is a seven out and new shooter. Granted, I have only tried this on a simulator too, but at least that way you aren't at risk of losing the $75 don't come along with up to $40 in place bets.

I've run this on my craps app. Suggestion: when $75 don't come is on the 10 or 4 put $10 on the hard 10 or 4 to reduce losses of one more dice combo.
@deudawg6 жыл бұрын
I'd put money to cover any of the Hard numbers (4, 6, 8, or 10).....Maybe just 5 instead of 10 if you are dealing with the 6 or 8. The ideal is to not feel the sting as much when that number does hit. As for this strategy, it was one of the first strategies I tried and it killed me in the casino. I was able to do it on an at home app but in the casino I was making all kinds of mistakes. After playing for a few months and becoming more comfortable at the table i've sense tried this strategy and am able to play the strategy at the table but haven't returned to it too often. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hHmqiGiXirmAgMU This is a strategy that was covered here earlier on Color Up and the link to "Brent's video" can be found on this page.....he even makes light of the above strategies referring to the $75 don't come bet as a leap of faith gesture. Which once you start playing this at the casino and you lose a couple of those $75.00 don't come bets with a 7 on that roll, it just completely destroys this strategy. Another problem that I have with this system after I've played it a few times and now have played craps a little more and have some ideal what I'm talking about is that the real payout takes a while. Let's say you get through that don't come $75.00 bet and lets say your DC is the beautiful 4 or 10 giving you the best chances for avoiding the "dreaded number" and lets say you even take another combination out by placing a $5 or $10 hardway bet.....you still place all the numbers, place the 10, and then when you hit the first number, you really see no profit, maybe only a couple of bucks that is left over after you put the 2x odds on the come bet that is now at a number. You then turn around and put another come bet out there.....and this video was a perfect example, he hit every number and put 2x odds on all of the numbers that the come bet traveled to and was NEVER seeing real profit because he was never stacking chips.....the chips just kept going out, goiing out, going out on the table. Now, the real strategy dictates that if you hit with 2x odds, I think he then takes it up to 4x odds......now, at this point money is going to be made. Even if you just went up to 3x odds, the money you get from your 2x odds win is going to pay the 3x or 4x bets and put some back in your pocket.....and you are off to the races...........again, after playing the game for a little bit now, how often to we actually see rolls where you are able to extablish a point, successfully get another DC out there, now place the numbers, hit a single number multiple times getting up to 2x, 3x odds and then be off to the races.......it rarely happens.........and if it does, as long as you were playing with the shooter and had money on the number that was hitting, which we all do once we see a shooter hit any number over a few times......any strat is going to win with a shooter like that, so why risk that 75 DC when in the long run it is probably only winning you a few bucks on most shooters?

At my local casino there is only bubble Craps with a $35 limit. Can you recommend a variation on this?
@toofskis5 жыл бұрын
My favorite Bubble Craps method of play is not this as you won't be able to accomplish everything in earnest with a $35 limit (In Colorado it is a $100 limit). I like to view the results board ( I assume your machine has one) My bets will equal the number of sevens of the last 12 rolls. I wait for the come out roll and place bet the 5 6 8 9. For example if the board shows 4 sevens, then I will have $4 on each of those place bet numbers. If I win or there is no decision, my bets stay up. Only as the number of sevens (of the last 12 rolls) starts decreasing, will I decrease my bets. If I lose, I wait for the next come out roll and bet accordingly. Deep down, I know a "results board" is not any indication of the future but there is a thing called probability. But importantly, you are VARYING your bets, this seems to be the key to winning. I've usually shown a profit in any given session. If the limit starts getting in the way, get a friend to come along and play beside you. If you decide to try it, let me know how it works for you.
@jaxondakota70805 жыл бұрын
Do you think you wouldn’t lose as much money if you didn’t keep the numbers pressed on the new come out roll once the shooter has already hit his point? For example I saw you lost $160 only after 3 rolls. If you didn’t press the numbers and only left $10 on the numbers you would’ve lost less?
@ColorUp5 жыл бұрын
Sure, any time you add to your bet you have more at risk. They larger the risk, the larger the reward or lose, at that point it just depends on how the dice roll.

When you hit a simple place bet after everything has been established, why can’t you just take (bank) those winnings? Ex. You hit the Place bet 5 which $10 pays $14 and just rack your $14? Isn’t the idea to get money into your rack? Sorry if juvenile question. This way all place bets become profit and minimizes 7 out loses?
@pberPSR6 жыл бұрын
because placing those winnings on the odds of the come bet is what makes you the money. the odds on the come bet are true odds and it requires a come bet to be able to bet that so in a sense, not betting it (with casino money) is a waste.

Hey Color up! great video and well explained. I realized your layout might be a bit off. for the 2.3.11,12 prop bets, shouldn't it say 31 for 1 or 30 to 1? Would it be beneficial to do a 3-way bet every time you have a come bet?
@ColorUp6 жыл бұрын
All layouts are a bit different. The odds of rolling the 2 or 12 is 1 out of 36 stated as 35 to 1 (35:1), so as long as the casino pays less they have an edge. For the 3 or 11 the odds of rolling are 2 out of 36 stated as 17 to 1(17:1), so they will always pay less than that. Anything below 35 to 1 and 17 to 1, will make a profit for the casino. As to is this beneficial? Mathmatically no, as you will always lose more than the odds of rolling them. But if you like to take insurance, sure, play how you are most comfortable.
@garrison78886 жыл бұрын
Unless you take 4X & 5X odds or higher your place bets win more PLUS you have options, same bet, press it, make it look like 6 etc. The come bets lose on the come out 7 but your place bets don't. Go to Come VS place bets by Garrison and learn don't more. The math does NOT LIE. Place bets pay more under 5X odds. BUT how big is your budget??? Most players do NOT take more than 5X odds and most tables limit this because of this. Good luck at the tables G. P.S. You are NOT playing for the House advantage you are playing for money a higher ROI.

while true the place bets pay more until you play over 5x odds, the house edge on come bets with odds is much lower, so theoretically over the long run you will lose less money playing the come with odds. The winning 7 on the come out roll for each come bet can't be discounted. Its hard to compare, they are very different ways to play.

This is by far my favorite strategy. It looks a lot more complicated than it is.... I would suggest not splitting chips on the 6 and 8. Play $20 place bets on the 4,5,9,10 and $30 on the 6 and 8. Little bit more risk, but if you hit 2 consecutive numbers after the don't come is placed, is almost impossible to lose money on that shooter (after 4 hits it is impossible). Also I always play the field on the come out when playing this strategy - mostly as crap out protection. (3 and 7 is even money, 2, 4, 10, 11 and 12 earn, 6 ,8 lose but result in a good point, 5 loses and the point is mediocre)
