Great strategy, thank you! I'm new to craps and it was my first time playing last night. Spent 2.5h at the table, table was hot, I did 25+ throws on my first try, kept throwing 8's and landed the hard 8 which cashed $3,000 to one guy. He tipped me $150, what a night! Overall started with $400, on a $10 table, left with $700 plus that guy's tips. Thanks!

@@ColorUp I have a question on the payout, on a table with 10 times odds. say you have a 25 dollar pass line bet, the point is 6 and you put 125 dollars on your odds. (5 x 25 = 125) would your payout be 10 x 125 ?
@ColorUp2 жыл бұрын
A table with 10x odds means you can put that much of a bet in odds. So a 25 pass line bet could make a maximum of 10x or $250 in odds bet. The payout on 6&8 is always 6:5 for the odds bet. So you get paid 6$ for every $5 bet. So $125 odds bet would pay $150. The 5&9 odds bet pays 3:2 and the 4&10 pays 2:1
@ronaldphillips9802 жыл бұрын

Thanks Jeremy! I am new to craps and used the 6/8 Hedge strategy for my 4 night trip to Vegas. Found a reliably $5 craps table at The Grand downtown. Put in $200 each night. First night won $75. Second night won $100. Third next switched to Blackjack to play with friends and lost $90. Forth night switched backed to craps and doubled all my bets ($20 Don’t pass and $12 Placed 6 and 8), and won $205. Wow! I love Craps now, and your 6/8 Hedge Strategy! Wish we had craps near me in Twin Cities Minnesota. I have read closest craps is either Diamond Jo’s in Iowa, or Turtle Lake in Saint Croix, Wisconsin. Both about 1.5 hours from Twin Cities. Was wondering how a 5/9 Hedge might work so you lose nothing on a 7 out. But I know 5 and 9 would hit less often.

Question, when you started the game, it was to play with little money & conservative atleast till you get your money back off the table before the dice roll ***. My question is once you have collected your money back off the table & your playing with 100% house money, would you ever consider changing your strategy in the middle of a open roll? I have played a few times in the casino just a few days ago recently. Before playing i watched a few of your videos to get me freshened up with the game. I 1st tried your favorite strategy & did good then tried the iron cross & failed very bad my bank roll went down quick. I walked away & returned later for another go at it & went back to your favorite strategy & was able to get back a little of what i lost before. Thanks for the videos they have & still are helping out in learning the ropes of craps & hopefully in time not let the casino take as much of my bank roll as they have in the past. That's why "worse" is a relative term. Casinos always have the edge. Why not reduce it to the minimum possible?

You can and wise to reduce as low as you can but Does not increase your chances of winning, only potentially losing less over long term. What is long term though? To casino it’s millions of bets over years, players play for hours or weekends and just need a little luck.

Love your videos - great stuff. I'm a beginning player, and I try each of your strategies that I've seen. A question for this strategy - the Don't is only played to get a point established, but would you ever buy full odds on it? Like especially when the roll is a 4 or 10? Seems like the only time to do it, to me. I have noticed most Don't players will not buy odds, because they're really playing the 6 numbers. Thanks again for making these videos - great stuff!
@ColorUp8 ай бұрын
Odds is a great “additional” bet if you can afford it. Most players don’t like to lay odds because you always have to bet more to win back less, but that’s just based on the true odds. As the bet is favored to win. the 4/10 seems like a better number to put odds on because it seems like you have better chance to win, but it only pays 1:2. The 6/8 you are more likely to roll than 4/10 but get payed for that proper chance 5:6 so it’s mathematically a fair payout for the risk no matter which number. It just depends how the dice roll.

@ColorUp4 жыл бұрын
you can only “7 out” once a point has been established. So on the come out roll, if you are rolling 7/11 or 2/3/12 this may cause you pass or don’t pass bet to lose, you will continue rolling until you establish a point of 4/5/6/8/9/10....at that point if a 7 is rolled the dice will go to the next player.

Color Up ahhh that’s right. Awesome. Thanks for the fast response

What I do is put double the minimum bet on pass line and field. The field and pass line cancel eachother out. So a 7 and 3 break even, but an 11 pays out on both, a 2 pays out enough to cover your pass line loss and even make a profit, and then a 12 pays out the same as an 11 because it pays triple. The only ones I lose money on is a 5, 6, and 8. But those are relatively high odds to hit again, so I can bet on those odds and make the money I lost in the field most cases.
@axispowerheavy5 ай бұрын
This play is similar to the One Hit - Can't Miss strategy, where you make equal sized bets on the DP, the Six and Eight. For example, on a $10 game play $12 on the DP and $12 each on the Six and Eight. Max exposure is $12. One hit on the Six or Eight guarantees a $2 win. Press / Collect every other subsequent hit. I've taken an $18 eight up to $4200 with this play, collecting over $4400 and only pressing the Eight because the shooter never tossed a Six. Shooter tossed 14 Eights that hand. On e in a lifetime hand.

Great Strat for minimum risk, but like you mentioned, with a good hand it can have great upside as well.
@davidl74544 жыл бұрын
This a good strategy to use especially if you have time to hang on a table. The only issue is that Craps is the only game where distraction matters. I can have a shouting match with someone playing cards, slots or the wheel, with the same outcome. When your at the craps table, independent factors (players drawing chips during a point or dealers wetblanketting) affect shooters. Also, I only understand a Don’t Pass when he is placing bets as well. If someone only plays DP/ lays numbers with odds (how stupid can you be to bet on DP/DC odds) then he is a true flesheater and belongs in the Players Poker room with the real animals. Cheers Color!

This may a stupid question... You mentioned that the dice were retired as indicated by a "stamp". What makes a die "stamped"? Is it possible that the act of stamping the dice changes the weight distribution and thereby affects the way they roll? In short, are canceled dice good dice or does it make them ever so slightly loaded?
@ColorUp3 жыл бұрын
When a table retires the dice, they stamp them or drill them making them no longer useable as a perfect dice. They are easily recognized as no longer of good use, and would not create a fair roll. Then typically sold in gift shop

Learning Craps so question...why not bet the field? Lots of #'s coming out of the field

You can if you like, 16 dice combos that win, 20 that lose. Casinos edge is over 5%

I use that except i play the pass line. At the Rio my first time in Las Vegas i was using that. If not the shooter and the point is 6&8 i take down the don't pass . I also pass on the dice since the shooter is "locked" in to the dont pass.. Thanks for the Deja Vu..

Question: As for my Craps experience at the casino, I think the dealers won't let you put a place bet on the point. What do you do in that case, if the point is 6 or 8?
@ColorUp5 жыл бұрын
If dealers won’t place the point for you (weird?) you can place the point yourself. The point is the only place bet you can make as a player. How you do this is place your bet on the actual printed line of the pass line and where the odds would go. Your bet would straddle the line. This is recognized as a place bet on the point and should be paid as a place bet.
@TheLegendofHeroes5 жыл бұрын
@@ColorUp Thank you for your answer. The reason I asked this question is when I played craps at the casino, say the point is hit and I have some place bets on the table when the point is off, often times when a point goes on somewhere that already has a place bet, the dealer would ask "Where would you like to move that place bet?" So at the casino I've never seen someone played a place bet on a point before, unless I don't know the rules well enough.

@26:40 you crap out after that long roll, and you take the $5's down and put them in your win rack. I don't think it works that way. :)
@ColorUp5 жыл бұрын
It’s called 7 out, you can’t crap out but yes, you are right, mistake putting money in my rack, but numbers on screen are correct, I don’t count rack. Thanks for the time stamp.

6:35 Don't you usually have to move your bet when it's on the point?
@ColorUp3 жыл бұрын
The dealers usually ask as most players already have the point bet with a pass line bet. But you may not, or maybe odds maxed and you want to bet more in that number. Either way, no, you do not have to move bet.

@Color Up ive seen in a couple other videos some people hold the dice a certain way because they think it increase their odds, do you hold the dice a certain way when you go to a casino?
@ColorUp5 жыл бұрын
I do not, but yes many people believe it can improve your odds. It certainly doesn’t hurt to try. There is plenty of instruction here on KZbin about the topic.

I think with craps there is a big misconception that you need a huge bankroll to play Craps and it can certainly help but I have won several hundred dollars on sessions at the table starting with $100 or $200 if you can find a $15 or even better a $10 minimum table and use a good minimum bet strategy. Heck even if you just play the Pass and some odds behind the line with some luck you can color up for sure.
@ColorUp2 жыл бұрын
Short bankroll is fine as long as you can have some luck early on in session
@JP_Stone2 жыл бұрын
@@ColorUp For sure as with any casino game winning is a bonus and luck is always a factor. Craps is just a fun game to play and happens to offer fairly decent odds I was a Black Jack guy until I started on Craps and I have for sure won more and had way more fun even if I lose at the Craps table more people at the casino should give it a shot. Love the content man keep it coming .

We only have $10 tables here in Colorado. Should you put $20 on don’t to start? Also, does 12 pay the don’t on a come out? I can’t wait to try this strategy. Thanks!
@ColorUp2 жыл бұрын
Yep, $20 or $25 would do the trick as it would take $24 to place bet the 6 and 8

I have seen someone roll over 30 minutes straight. I have also seen many people toss the dice off the table over and over again. I play with the rollers and take all my money off the table when the drunk girl can’t keep the dice on the table.

JUST found your channel. Loved the video. I can tell an ex craps dealer when I see one. Me too, a LONG time ago but I continued playing for many years after I stopped dealing. Don't live near a casino now so long time no craps (hate the Indian casinos in California playing with cards) but your video brought the good memories back. I love the game so I'm looking forward to seeing more.

Idk if this is a stupid question or not. I’m still learning the game. Most of the casinos around me are Crapless Craps. Does that change the betting strategy for something like this? Are you better off just betting the pass line in Crapless?
@ColorUp7 ай бұрын
You are actually worse off betting the passline. This might help kzbin.info/www/bejne/fXjLnqybYtCHiNUsi=CfhEp3-Va3b3TR56
