Important advise for new players is to manage your money. Know where you stand with your initial investment: Are you Up, Down, Even? Use the rack double rack to track your money. Have one side for what you bought into and the other side for profits.

For and added fillip, which you may find preferable, try organizing your session buy-in into four (or even six) sections. Dice bettors usually find reason to retain chips (if only temporarily) in their hand. (More on this later.). There is a fantastic method of bankroll management described in THE DICE DOCTOR by Sam Grafstein. Gather the checks that form your main betting action and place them in your rack’s left FORWARD groove. (This could be line bets, & line Odds bets.) As the hours elapse, the starting amount in your front left betting stake will decrease. (At the same time, transacted checks will wend their way through your fingers, then collect in the BACK left groove of your rail quadrant.) When stake is exhausted, count the profits in Lockup groove and, if they total enough, work your way up a graphed grid of larger & larger stakes, and individual bets. In this way, you can pyramid funds, and build up an overall bankroll.

Certainly would have increased your winnings in conjunction, my wife is a field better and would have been all over this. Obviously that was beyond the scope of this video. Hey Jeremy, beginner here. Isn’t it better to take odds before doing place bets because the house advantage is less on the odds then place? Thanks for the great videos!
@ColorUp
@ColorUp 2 жыл бұрын
Yes and no. Odds bet has no house edge so that is amazing. But, the same size place bet will pay more until you are at 5x odds or higher. So I’m not convinced the lower house edge bet is better in the short term as it pays less, but it is absolutely better than place bets long term. If you are trying to beat the casino with math and house edge…it’s not going to happen. Either way, you have to roll your bet numbers and win more than probability dictates to win.

I love this as an easy, low-risk strategy. I remember hearing about a conservative approach to a strategy like this that pulls down the 6 and 8 after they hit. Leaving them up means needing them to hit twice more to outperform taking them down. Any chance you would do a live roll video showing the difference between taking the 6 and 8 down after one hit vice leaving them up?
@ColorUp

Yes you can. Casinos vary whether the bets are “working” for the come out roll. But you can always override the table default by just asking the dealer to turn your bets “on”

should you even play a pass line bet? it only pays 10 if wins. might as well choose another number on the board right?
@ColorUp

Maybe, place bets are always more chances to lose vs win. Pass line has a huge 2:1 advantage on come out roll, but after that first roll, place bets are better unless you add more than 5x odds

So you can only bet behind the pass line after the point has been established? Also, is when can I do additional bets on 6 and 8? After the come out roll?
@ColorUp
@ColorUp 2 ай бұрын
Odds can only be added once a point is established. It’s a great bet but casino only allows when you are the underdog with the pass line. You can add, increase, decrease the 6/8 place bet at anytime. By default when the puck is off, place bets are off. But if you want them to be on, just ask the dealer to turn your bets on for the come out roll.

Love your vids...as a beginner. Question...when choosing a table to play, what role does the number of other players on the table play in deciding on a table? Do the odds change depending on number of players?
@ColorUp
@ColorUp 2 жыл бұрын
No, nothing about the game changes. If there are more players, the game tends to run slower as their are more bets for the dealer to take care of. I find this better for new players because while it seems more chaotic, the game moves slower. It can also be more exciting. You may prefer to have less players at table and be more comfortable with that. Sometimes this also allows the dealers to be more helpful towards new players. It’s just up to what you feel comfortable with.

I was wondering the same thing. So statistically, if you've won on the six and/or the 8 once, or even twice, wouldn't it be wise to pull your bet because you're probably not going to keep hitting those numbers? Can you you pull your 6&8, keep your bet on the point number and add a bet on a different number? Can you you pull your bet on 6&8 and bet on 7 instead? Sorry for all the questions! Your video was so helpful and easy to follow. I really appreciate that you respond to people's questions and I love to see how kind and encouraging you are to everyone in the comments. 💛

Hello, one thing I don’t understand, when you hit the point with 4, you won on the pass line. At that point, if you wanted to leave the table, can you take your money from the 6 and 8, or are those bets permanently there until the shooter craps out?
@ColorUp

You can remove any and all bets anytime you like, except, a pass line or a come bet. Those 2 bets are considered "contract bets" You can still leave the table, but if you have one of those bets up, you cant remove or ask the dealer to remove.
