Next strategy: Space Marine Conquistador Spain ~~~ Conqs have a base strength of 55 + 10 if religious unit in same role + 4 vs other religions (Philip ULA) + 4 (wars of religion) + 4 (Oligarchic Legacy) for *77 CS* in the Renaissance. Combine this with Magnus -80% strategic cost and have 2-Niter unstoppable supersoldiers to snipe enemy capitals. Founding religion not even necessary, although it makes things easier and you just have to keep half of your own cities converted (which becomes much easier with the conqs) Additionally you get +3 era score for capturing enemy cities of a different religion since it counts as conversion while at war.

@Jauqee15 жыл бұрын
I’ve done this before. You can also add a great general, crusade, Facism, for an additional +15 strength. Make them into armies and they can have insane combat strength. I used them well into the information as my army entirely as a joke and was still victorious. Very fun!
@joshng57845 жыл бұрын
@@bernard832 I've found crusade is somewhat counterintuitive as you really don't want to use your religious units and there's no point converting beforehand if you get a convert automatically. Def of the Faith is good if on the defence though/holding newly-conqed cities.

PROTIP: The other very important reason you want to go with Democracy over Communism is that there is a "Different Government Modifier" that lowers tourism between you and other civs at different rates depending on your respective governments. Democracy is one of the least punishing while Communism is the most. This modifier applies even when you have the same government, oddly enough. I believe the modifier equations is as follows: {(your gov mod) + (their gov mod)} x 3 = modifier as a percent. So Democracy has a -3 value, and Communism has -6, so if you were Democracy, your tourism modifier you'd have with a civ that is Communist would be {-3 + -6} x 3 = -27%

I’m so happy I found this, since I love playing Kongo. I definitely learned a lot (especially your willingness to pack your cities so closely together - I keep wanting to have my cities far apart as Kongo and build tall. I have to get away from that). The suggestion I would make for you is to prioritize three wonders: Oracle Mon St Michael St Basil’s Cathedral The Oracle has a great synergy with Kongo’s extra Great People generation. Add the Education governor to the city with 3 promotions to get +100% great people generation in the city and you’ll get 13+ writer and great merchant points being generated from the city with just amphitheaters and markets. Mons St Michael will let you send your apostles to get killed for relics and it and St Basil’s Cathedral give you more spots to put relics for more special bonuses. St Basil’s also gives you more religious based tourism in the city. Also, watch for the early Great Merchant that gives you a free bank that lets you have two great work slots, where you can put more relics. Plus, the third government building that gives you three more great work slots for more relics.

This is one of THE BEST videos I ever saw from you Potato! On your ending question: For educational and show purposes this video format is probably the best. As you do not go through everything step by step people do not have to pay constant attention. Raw gameplay is more like a comfortable and chatty personal experience between you and the viewer, where you can just talk about what is in your mind that has the benefit of being more chill experiences over a long term sharing the experiences you have with the player but I think those are better if supplied to be in shorter chunks like 30-40 minutes just give a viewer a little winding down time after the day. So it would not be a bad comparison to say these videos are more like movies where one goes to see awesome stuff, while raw gameplay is more like a relaxing tv series for resting.

I twitched a little when you spent your money on that museum when you had Catholicism as your majority religion and you could've bought it with faith thanks to Mvemba's unique ability. And my God hoarding 16 envoys... you must've completely forgotten about them. I typically only hoard 3 or 4 for when I switch to an appropriate policy card but 16... My God. Edit after finishing the video: This format is definitely engaging. I watched the whole thing in one setting, all 1 hour 40 mins of it.
@PotatoMcWhiskey5 жыл бұрын
I never had a reason to spend them actually.
@karimm.elsayad95395 жыл бұрын
@@PotatoMcWhiskey You definitely had a reason to use them, in fact, there is no reason not to. for starters, the +1 Diplomatic favour you receive from being a suzerain adds up, and you can sell them for tons of gold as you already do. Since you're bound to have bonus resources in your empire, Buenos Aires would be immensely useful since that +1 amenities per type would help keep you huge bustling cities ecstatic which is important for the 10% boost to non food yields, which includes culture. Not to mention the fact that by being an industrial city, you get extra production in your capital and Industrial zones. Also, you have Valletta which is one of the absolute best in game, it allows you to buy city center buildings with faith. this so good since it allows you to basically buy walls, granaries and monuments in new cities, sewers for housing and all that stuff for faith, leaving the gold for other stuff.

As a long-time subscriber I enjoy the new video format. There are a couple of suggestions though: 1. The jump cut editing can be a little jarring when the edit doesn't flow naturally into what you were just talking about. 2. A lot of your decisions happen so fast (with the editing) I don't have time to process WHY you made that choice. Although I enjoy the entertainment...a lot, I watch your channel mostly to learn how to improve my game. 3. And I say this tongue firmly in cheek...get a thesaurus! If I have to hear about this "tasty tasty" whatever followed by that "delicious" something else another 50 times in 20 minutes I will have to start drinking again. 4.
