Colour Analysis with TWO different PROFESSIONAL stylists ! Did we get the same result ??

Hi and welcome back to my channel 🥰
This is the first video in the "Update my style/closet" serie, and we are starting with the basics: colour analysis !
I hired two stylists to have in-person sessions, and find out more about my colour scheme, as you can see in the video I had two great experiences !!

I was analyzed a year ago in 2 systems, the seasonal system and the tonal system. Like you, I got the same result twice, I’m a Soft Summer/Soft-Cool. This was truly life changing and since I had to renew a lot of my wardrobe due to weight change, I really embraced my palette and now fully live in it! Same for makeup, wearing lipsticks and blushes and eyeshadows in your palette does so much for your face! Your dark Autumn palette looks amazing on you, have a lot of fun with it!

It's interesting that your bigger colour swatch bundle is mainly cool colours,though they are deeper, while your smaller colour swatches are distinctly warmer.

Thanks for the video! A few months ago I thought you were a winter type as you were wearing cool colors like royal blue, which I thought looked good on you. Then I noticed (from your Sézane orders, haha :) that you've already changed your color palette a bit and I wasn't sure anymore. Your result makes perfectly sense and the suggested colors look really great on you!! Thanks for sharing, this way we can all learn!!... I have similar hair and eye color to you but am a cool winter type.

Thank you !! You noticed very well indeed, I'm so impressed 🤩 I've still kept some royal blue, bright red/pink colors in my wardrobe because I love them and also think that they don't look too bad on me either 😊🥰

Our Mom gifted my sister and I to a Color Me Beautiful (CMB) professional color analysis and we three did it all together with some friends and made a party out of it. This was four decades ago, but I still find it very useful. At that time, CMB, did used only the four seasons, and typed me accurately as a Summer, but I’ve since sub-typed myself into one of the 12 seasons they use now - Soft Summer, after much research and experimentation. I did end up dropping two recommended hues, purple and gray, because I didn’t love them as much as the others, and found the purples especially difficult to style. Since then, my skin, eye and hair color have all lightened slightly with age, but my “Soft Summer” colors still look great on me. Because “Soft” is my dominant characteristic, I can also wear some Soft Autumn colors, if they’re not too warm. I love muted khaki and sage greens, for example, and just avoid the yellows and oranges. I have a strong preference for lighter colors, too, I can look much too pale in anything dark. I haven’t watched your video yet, but I always thought you’re cool-toned and perhaps a Summer, too. I never liked warm-toned or clear, bright and strong colors on you as much as the softer, cooler ones, like the color you’re wearing - it’s great on you!

Ooooh I love the idea of having it as a party ! And what a lovely gift from your mum, it's so useful for the rest of your life 🥰 I saw your other comment saying indeed that you were not so much into warm tones 😊 Before the colour analysis I had been wearing all kind of colours without giving it much thought beyond "I like this colour" and "I have things to pair with it" 😂 I like to know have a better direction when doing shopping ! But I've also kept many colours that are not my best, because I love them too much and cannot help it 😆 Like you, I've also left some of my "best" colours out because I don't like them so much. As you said, It's all a process of experimentation ❤️

@@delphinthecity Yes, our personal color palettes should evolve with us, but the pro analysis a great place to start. I think it’s a great value and recommend everyone to get at least one in-person analysis, if possible. We had so much fun at our Color Party, outdoors in the shade on a summer day (best light, we were told), we served food and drinks and several friends signed up to have their colors analyzed, too. Sometimes groups can get some discount, too! I got your color type completely wrong in my guess, but I have no training and tend to think everyone shares my type! 😄Love your channel, Delphine, thank you.

Avec plaisir, et je suis ravie que ça puisse t'inspirer ! J'étais aussi très étonnée, mais en y réfléchissant c'est vrai que chez une personne avec des yeux bleus ou verts, des couleurs similaires les mettent en valeur, alors pourquoi pas la même chose avec des yeux marrons/noisette ? 😊

Okay, dark autumn 😂 Das ist die Schwester Saison. Ich habe zwischen den beiden geschwankt. Die erste Palette mit den Stoffen sind für mich mehr Winterfarben. Den zweiten Farbpass habe ich auch, bin nämlich auch dark autumn 🤩 Willkommen 😅 im Herbst

Ich habe für die ganze Familie die Farben bestimmt und mein Mann ist nun sehr begeistert von seinem Farbpass, ohne den geht nichts mehr 😅 Hat auch wirklich eine Verbesserung in seiner Garderobe gebracht.
