How good of you to give us the name of an alternative pencil! I have the Prismacolors. This was so fun to watch you color. I learned a lot from the first part and learned from this one too☺ Your voice is "easy on the ears" and calming too. Not every teacher is like that. Floating ice cream island. I NEED to go there. It's so pretty. The background is amazing, but now you are following it up with such pretty colours. I just can't make myself think outside the box enough to do this. My island is so predictable! I felt pleased with myself that I coloured my lighthouse and buildings in dark teal. That was "out there" for me. I've done the whole thing on a download printer paper copy with the square Brutfuners. I have to say I'm impressed with them on such unsuitable paper. They have done a good job. I wish I could share a photo here. They layer very well.

Oh, thank you for putting the Prisma alternatives and the Brutfuner numbers in the description! So much work for you and so very, very appreciated! I do not own the Holbeins nor do I yet own the Castle Arts Pasteltints (they are in my Amazon cart). I do own the full set of Prismacolors and I recently purchased the Brutfuner Squares. I am looking forward to trying them out on this wonderful page. I've not ever coloured with an oil based pencil, so excited to try the Brutfuners out in this amazing book. This is looking fabulous already. It’s fascinating to see how the different brands of pencils lay down in this lovely new book. That's brilliant to use the pastels with the dark back ground. The contrast makes Both look better!...The brutfuners sound a lot louder than the holbiens Just an observation.... Its really helpful that you are using different pencils to see how they work on this paper. ...Oh, and I don't mind more than two parts. I'll watch no matter how many parts! haha!....I've often thought it would be fun to hear what people in your part of the world like to eat or bake. You mentioned being hungry and my first thought was, I wonder what they like to eat.I must be hungry as well! haha!

Aww thanks Valerie. I love spicy Indian curries but I also enjoy traditional English food like fish and chips, which is one of my favourites! Yes, the Bruts were not as smooth on the paper as the Holbeins but then they are a harder pencil but they still have a nice lay down as they are quite oily. Have a great weekend!

I absolutely love your color choices and as soon as I get my book I think I am going to give it a go and try to recreate this with some twists of my own. I hope to see you color in more of these type video's. I would really like to see you work in a cute book in the future, like one of the Lulu Mayo books, I love what hou make of those pages. it looks amazing so far. My pan pastels came in the mail and i have been playing with them a little bit. Do you color the picture first and then the background or background first with the pan pastels?

I usually add the pan pastels last as I smudge them otherwise and they transfer to other areas unless I am going to put something over them like an acrylic glitter, in which case I would do it first! Alternatively, you could use a workable fixative but I just find it easier to do it last. Thanks so much for watching!
