I appreciate your comments about mistakes - the fact that everybody makes them, even the gold-plated colourists. I am not an absolute beginner anymore but I'm still somewhere in my beginner's stages and I make a LOT of mistakes... And I struggle a lot too... I love adult colouring, but it's not a walk in the park.

I appreciate your pulling out your Black Widows. Originally I set them in color order as if they were one large set. I still have them in one case however I decided put them in color order by set. To my eye that makes much more sense. I like your mention of what pencils work best in certain books. Thank you Lucy

I wish I was as good at choosing colors. It doesn’t help that I’m color blind to reds and greens. So I tend to stay with the gemstone colors. I rely on you so I l ow what I should use to make it pretty. You called the bird a kingfisher and I thought it was a woodpecker. I think the little circles were bug holes and the woodpecker was looking for them. You say potatoes and I say taters. 😜❤❤❤

Hi 🖐️ I'm a beginner and I was wondering about your comment. Do different books have different paper? I have one of Johanna Basford's books. Is that why you say those pencils work well in those specific books or is it artist design rather than weight/tooth of the paper?

Thank you for sharing your “struggles!” I’ve been coloring for just under a year and I know I’ve improved but I still watch people and I wonder 💭 Do they just automatically know what they’re doing is going to be perfect or do they buy multiple copies of each book to do practice runs? Because I just don’t see myself ever getting “that good.”

I've been thinking about getting a winter book. I'm a fairly new colorist and I'd love to be brave enough to do a black background. I'm always afraid it will soak through to the other pages. I'm guessing you used something behind the page to keep it from ruining the pages behind it? Your page turned out beautiful ❤️
