Pieces of furniture with an existing factory finish can be painted just as older or solid wooden pieces can. This piece has a white (booo) factory finish and is very slick and shiny. There's no need to sand it all off, it would be too time consuming and can often unearth MDF or similar which can be a pain to paint. Bonding BOSS primer is your best friend when it comes to pieces like this. It's a water based adhesion primer which is SO easy to use and unlocks the ability to paint slick and shiny surfaces like the piece in the video. (It can also be used to prime wooden pieces if you cannot or do not want to sand).
In the video I cover how to prep these types of finishes so that your paint finish will be durable as well as showing the most beautiful shade of hot pink ever!
