They used to have a satin in the super shocks and it was my favorite. The glitter is way over the top in almost all of the shades now.

Exactly! I'm pretty new to CP and ordered a ton of things in the last 2 months of last year bc I was so inspired by their colours. But their shimmery ones are all full of sparkles and I have gotten used to satin shades, esp for everyday makeup. It also has a lot of fallout so an hour after I do my makeup, my undereye area is full of sparkles, even though I start with my eyes and clean up my face afterwords. Tbh I find myself more inspired to do swatches on my arm than actually do makeup.

supershocks need to be sealed :( they dry out easily so I feel like it wouldn't be a good idea in a palette unless it was airtight somehow.

I’m a self taught makeup artist and only ever do makeup mostly on myself and I don’t get scared to used pressed glitters near my eyes as I do use a glitter glue. it’s all personal preference

@@melisalinh2657 ngl I went yikes as soon as I read your comment >< I just honestly think it's kinda funny that they put them in eye palettes tho when they're not safe for the eye area. I think a better way to go about it would be making glitter quads though, so people who like glitters can combine that with their eyeshadow palettes... I think nabla has some. I just think it's annoying to add them to quads especially, bc there's only 4 shadows on those and so they limit the amount of shadows people who dislike glitters can use to three which essentially makes it not worth it. Especially if they're going to release more quads in this format that are not part of collabs. okay I went a lil rambly sorry >< I just have such a strong opinion on glitters bc I've read way too many horror story on them AND bc I kinda have been waiting for colourpop to release quads as I find them quite useful just like their nine pan palettes but knowing they have a glitter turns me away from buying them ngl.

I'm guessing they incorporate the glitter because they have that in their inventory and want to use it up. And probably the glitter is cheaper for them to incorporate versus a pressed pigment or satin shade. But I absolutely hate glitter, so I avoid most palettes with glitter unless there are more matte/satin shadows.

Getting it all. Not ashamed to say it. I wish there were new gel liners in this collection though! A color specific to each quad would have been so cute! Normally I don't care about the glitters, I know many hate them, I just don't care either way, it never effects whether I'd buy a palette, but in this case, if it was a regular quad release with a glitters I would pass. So my next obvious observation is quads are the perfect set up for Pokemon collabs!!! Little yellow Pikachu, green Bulbasaur, blue Squirtle, pink Jigglypuff, purple Koffing!!!! I'd die!!!

Why include non safe eye “shades” in an EYE lid product? So dumb

They’re not FDA approved but still commonly used for eyeshadow. The matte shades likely just use a dye pigment that isn’t considered “safe” because it stains the skin, which they FDA says is fine for lips but not for eyes. Every brand does this now.

I looked closely at the BOX, it doesn’t say ‘eyeshadow palette’, it has ‘pressed powder palette’. Now, that’s just me with a quick look at part of the product packaging. Watching this video after actually playing and watching others play animal crossing makes me appreciate the effort and thought that went into these products, especially the packaging. Seriously so many little cute things that might be easily looked over but if you know more about the game you can really appreciate it. I do wish I had picked up one or two things from this collection back then, but I know it's also not the end of the world. Product wise there's certainly a lot of changes or tweaks to be considered, I think most people can agree with that, but the packaging and such otherwise makes these feel so so special. I'm really happy these kinds of collections get that sort of attention and time put into them.

I was so insanely excited and was ready to buy the whole collection, now I only want the supershock and even that is not a must have. Everything looks like stuff they already have released. I was considering a couple quads just cause I wanted to want this collection but I know they look just like their 9-pans I already have and now knowing they all have a pressed glitter.. I hope they do a round 2 and listen to everyone's feedback.

The collection is cute! I really wish for the smaller palettes they wouldn’t put pressed glitters or the mattes with glitter. But since most times the glitter blends away from the mattes, I can deal with those. But hate taking up a space for a pressed glitter with only 4 shades.

I'm happy I can dupe just about all of the eyeshadow quads. It's disappointing there's pressed glitter, but I'm even happier knowing I won't be dealing with the website BS the day of launch!
