I'm truly impressed with your 3 LED solution to simulate the rotating lights. I appreciate that it may look different "on camera" to how it looks in real life, but you may want to consider adding some capacitors into the circuit. This would cause the LEDs to fade in/out rather than just turn on and off, which would *really* help sell that rotating effect.

Actually, I have since updated my code so that it does actually fade. I also slowed it down just a tad. Only by about 100-200th of a second, but it made a difference, along with the fade.

Amazing work as usual Chris! And thanks for showing how you did the lights, that is going to be very helpful for anyone who wishes to do this in the future, who knows I may even give it a go! cheers!

Incredible work, Amigo! I thought I was good but…. Wow 🤩 Somewhere, I’ve got actual photos of a background spinner that sat in the ”first” boneyard at what was then Disney/MGM Studios- inside and out (worked there for a good number of years). I’ll have to see if I can find them now- no telling what features might be found!

your skills are PHENOMENAL & OUTSTANDING & INCREDIBLE & AMAZING, I'm blown away. . . I love your police lights, I'd love to build some police lights for my kits, unfortunately my skills really really suck due my lost control in my fingers, maybe this will reset after my chemotherapy. So would you sell a programed circuit board for flashing police lights?! THX in advance & stay safe! matt

I demand that you sell the finished kit and give me the money so I can repair the hole in my floor where my jaw hit it. Please say you can make the boards available. Beyond awesome.

Excellent job Chris!!! I am interested in the Trinket module... Is it difficult to use and program ( I am an absolute neophyte in the Arduino world )? Thanks in advance...
@modelsbychris
@modelsbychris Жыл бұрын
I've been using Trinkets for years because of their ease and I don't really know much about coding. Just enough to do my lighting. All self taught from videos and forums.

Have you deleted the link to your sketch library files? I don't see it in the description section.

Chris, is your scetch code ready to upload to the Adafruit Trinket board? Or do you need to add info to it?
@modelsbychris
@modelsbychris Жыл бұрын
There are 2 libraries I used that you'd have to add to your Arduino app as well. Links are in the notes of the sketch.

Ak ok I did notice the link. I just wanted to be sure. I've been sitting on this spinner model kit for over 4 years. I knew I needed to light it up, but I never felt confident to start it until I watched your videos. Thank you so much for your hard work and for sharing your techniques. 😎👍🏼

Sorry to bother you, Chris, I've downloaded the library. It's a zip folder named NoiascaToolKit. Do I have to drop the unpacked files into the Aruino file directory, or does it get installed through "Preferences" as a link? Or some other way?
@modelsbychris
@modelsbychris Жыл бұрын
@IRMAO CUSTOM MODELS there's an option in Arduino under the top "sketch" tab, "include library" then "add .zip library"

Chris, would you please sell me your code for the lighting? PayPal or any other option. I am not a coder, I have tried and I tend to burn out leds more than anything. This is brilliant work as always.
