Another great video buddy! Might want to invest in a better camera though. It kept getting light then dark. Love the idea of tank tours!

That's an award winning tank if I've ever seen one! It's a better coral reef than anything you'd see in the coral triangle. It would be awesome if the lower tank (somehow) was as large as the main tank!
@colsonscritters Жыл бұрын
Hahah definitely my favorite tank I’ve ever seen in person. I wish I could have taken everyone with me because the camera doesn’t even do it justice. That lower tank is even nicer than my tanks and he says he just throws his scrap frags down there haha

Hey Colson, what a beautiful Reef Tank. My favorite part is the corals. They are Absolutely stunning as far as variety and colors. The selection of his fish are awesome as well. He really takes great care of his tank and it shows. I also appreciated the fact that he explained things in a very good wayso it was very easy to understand. You obviously know some very interesting and knowledgeable people. Thank You, as always Colson, for sharing and shout out to Mark for letting You show his 180 gallon Reef Tank. I agree, it is one of the most beautiful tanks I've ever seen. Can't wait to see where You take us next. Take Care and Thank You again.

im always looking at the bubble tips in tanks. when i see huge full bubbles i try to see where its placed. most the bubble tips with full bubbles have lil flow around them

Personally in my puffer tank I’ve noticed my bubble tips also gain more of a bubble in lower flow as well

Mark, I’m so jealous of your tank! It’s absolutely amazing! I wish any of my fish would spawn. 😊 I never in 1 million years thought I’d see an emperor angel in a reef tank, let alone a mating pair of butterfly fish!! Do you have any meaty LPS? Like acans , trachy or scoly?

Sweet tank! I didn't know what Acropora hoeksemai was in demand right now. I always thought it was a coral I didn't see a lot in the hobby. I have a lot of it and it seems to be hardy and grow well.

Which one is better ? NEPTUNE APEX or XEPTA AUTOBALANCE to maintain Alkalinity (Kh) ??
@vickyhatter9699 Жыл бұрын
Not familiar with any testing unit other than Apex Neptune Trident. I don’t use it to “control” alkalinity, only test it. Any adjustments needed to dose I do manually. I don’t let Neptune change dosing based on readings. I find it accurate but they do wear down, I’m on my first refurbished unit after 3 years of continuos use.

one very expensive hobby a lot of work and time. i was told you can't have a power outage must have a have emergency power source to keep the lights, temperature, must stay stable if water temperature drops, or over heats things die easily like the corals . Very sensitive system. what do you do to keep the nitrates down water changes. This is one beautiful tank just gorgeous.
@vickyhatter9699 Жыл бұрын
I use my Neptune doses to dose Red Sea No Pox on a daily regimen as I don’t use a refugium. Essentially, it’s the same thing as vodka dosing.

Just a FYI you can not put butterfly fish or empire angel in a reef tank. Do not listen to this guy. Unless you have a 400g and above yes. So much bad info in the video.

I mean he has a 180 and is obviously doing it. Hahha but it is always a risk to put them in any tank

Fisher like people, there are some supposed meat eaters that are going to be vegetarians. And there are vegetarians that will eat your coeach. Fish is their own characteristics. It's not species wide, just like dogs. Cats, rabbits, pigs, chickens, fish, fish, fish. To each is their own.
