Thank you very much for this great and thorough video. One problem I had initially was to forget about the plunger spring assembly (at least I think that's what it is, please correct me if I'm wrong) when holding the gun upside down to put it back together. I kept forgetting what was holding the slider to get back in. I found it useful to keep my index finger at the ready to push it back in.

Just bought same pistol couple weeks ago. Love it. Have had others. Had one I regret selling. It was a 1916 Colt. Beautiful patina.

This is a great video for a field strip, but I would love a complete tear down from every spring and pin so I know exactly what to clean and oil as I’m putting it back together. Thank you.

What about oiling the slide stop pin where the lower lug of the barrel rides up on it? Ditto for the link.

Exactly. No point in wiping oil.

When you use the towel to wipe oil, i believe that you wasted oil and effort. I dislike that.
