In this video I show you how to remove the front suspension struts.
While they were off, I wire brushed, rust treated and undersealed the inner arches.

Thank you for the kind words :) They suffer from sticky rear calipers and a few have encountered issues with the electric power steering rack. The exhaust manifolds can crack so keep an eye out on that too. Apart from those and surface rust underneath they're pretty good

Have you noticed a difference with the lowering swings ? Is road handling better ?

Apologies for the belated reply. Definately noticed a big change in the handling with just the lowering springs fitted. The car still has some body roll so these won't eliminate that completely. Well worth investing and fitting :)

Hi Shocks seams bad from outside. Can you tell how much mileage with this schocks? And why you didnt replace with new oem Sachs?

The vehicle has done 83k miles. When the original springs and strut mounts were removed we compressed the shock and it returned fine with no issues. So believed the shocks were still in a good useable condition, therefore not needing to be changed.

Just attempted to do mine, undone everything but the two bolts holding the suspension to the wheel hub and I can't get them to come off almost like they've been welded on!

Have you been able to remove the nut, so the bolt is still through the hub/shock absorber? If so you couldnt punching the bolt out with a flat head screw driver and a hammer/mallet?
