Amazing video! Brave to do all this in the parking lot! Very nice to see one of these engines being taken apart a bit, just to see what's going on. I always thought it was a very intimidating engine to work with if you don't know what you are doing, but content like this makes it easier. To be honest, while the timelapse is nice and flashy, i for one would not mind 1 hour of you swearing over stuck vacuum hoses in real time :D

I found the vdo oil pressure sensor to fail quite often due to the vibration of the engine, I would perhaps remote mount it to the chassis or body with a braided extension hose, I got so fed up with it I upgraded to a Stack solid state sensor and guage. Also I would mount your secondary fuse box or atleast cover the positive terminals to stop it moving around and potentially shorting out on the radio or metal brackets behind the dash when driving. Still a good video though with plenty of information.

Chris, i just wanted to say that i have been saving all your videos. I knew i was going to enjoy them when i watched them but i just didn't want to get inspired while not having the time to actually do anything to my car. Either way, I'm watching them all now since i finally have the time, and i just wanted to let you know that you are a massive inspiration! Just hearing someone else talk about all the little pieces is teaching me a lot, and also it's probable that your videos are the best quality v6 videos on the internet. Thank you so much for making these! //Jacob

I've got a Garmin camera that I attach to the push bikes and the motorbike. I'm ok with that but how do you have the camera mounted above the exhaust, etc? Is it by suction, and how secure is it. That worries me that I'll lose the camera.

I use a suction mount with a caravan breakaway cable attached to the boot latch. If the suction fails it'll swing and not fall off :)

@@hoodedreeperRight in the forum it listed AY140 - 40890 corresponding to 4PK890, so clearly for the other two AY140 - 40910 and AY140 - 40865 should be 910 and 865. But it seems like 913 and 868 are the same as 910 and 865 just 3mm longer, which shouldn't be a problem, not to mention the tension is set manually.

If you can pull the hose down from the headliner side it should be easier. Maybe take out the screws for the visors. The hoses should slip off easily, and go back on just as. Well... problem solved 😀

Sunroof drain issue? The hoses run down the inside of the car's pillars under the plastic at 4 corners. IF it's like my Probe GT, (Mazda based.) The sunroof has a big tray above the headliner. Headliner and other plastics can come off with patience. With the Headliner out you should be able to get to each hose and slip it off, maybe hit it with compressed air. I could not find what I needed to swap sunrooofs, so I was on my own, I took video of the parts, it might help you. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rmK1fnd8Z5acm7c
