I am sort of befuddled with the usb ports being so far from the night stand/shelf. I cannot see how a person could plug in their phone to charge it overnight without a cord pulled taut over the bedding. I’d be temped to relocate the plugs to the headboard wall if possible.

Great review. So other than the obvious (cargo capacity, weight, length), what would one be sacrificing by going with a Solitude-S 2930RL (which has a similar layout) rather than this Solitude 310GK?

There wouldn't be many sacrifices at all! Mainly the difference is the floorplan/layout.
