@shadwilliams5761 all basketball players can do better is dribble. NFL players bench more, squat more, jump higher, and are the superior athletes. NFL plays are much more complicated then anything basketball can ever hope to be. NFL Is a game of leverage, the lower guys wins more often, NBA players are too tall, not explosive enough and far too weak to be on a football feild. All they do better is dribble and that is not am athletic attribute. It's just a skill, like throwing or cathing a football. So of we are talking about which athletes can walk into anyone's sports, a football player is ready to go immediately where as a basketball player would need a full year or steroids to get big and strong enough to take the punishment from football

@@navyglass1242I agree with some of what you’re saying but basketball players aren’t weak. (Some are obviously) but to put them all under that blanket is wrong. I would also argue that NBA players have much better cardio than the average NFL player. But everything else I pretty much agree with.

You have to be a minimum of 6'2 to be effective in the NBA in most cases, that takes out 90% of the skill positions. You need to be shorter than 6'8 to be effective in the NFL, that takes out a big chunk of NBA players too. The list goes on…. You won’t understand the physicality and skill of pro football unless you’ve played pro or have seen it in person at field level

Basketball is more of a skill-based sport, but football is the more physical and mentally taxing sport. Not only are you getting hit nearly every play, but you have to speak an entirely different language of a playbook thats as thick as a dictionary. Basketball just isn't built like that. Football is a sport where you're trying to accomplish a goal together as one cohesive team. Basketball is give ME the ball and go hide in a corner.
@darriusavery3563
@darriusavery3563 Ай бұрын
Both sports are hard to transition from but I believe that you have to live in the gym and work constantly on your game when it comes to basketball. The average basketball player can’t handle the ball consistently and get by defenders. Also in football you get breaks in between possessions however in basketball your constantly running so a basketball player is going to be more conditioned to run and our weight training is a bit different. However with football and especially on defense you really don’t have to worry about technique, I will say you have a valid point with the play book. I just think you take more players from the NBA and they will make a NFL roster vs a NFL player making the NBA.

It can literally be done it’s a pointless argument. You can literally take guys from the NBA and NFL and y’all got the wrong person arguing for the NBA NFL: Max Crosby Jalen Ramsey Tyreek Hill Micah Parson Myles Garrett NBA: Jalen Suggs Zion Williamson Russell Westbrook Lebron James D-Fox Literally everything that they say about the NBA players can be said about NFL players.

baskeball is 100% easIEr than football. Because the NFL players lift weights, the way they jump is crazy. Footwork isn't an issue. Defense is better. Shooting can be taught quickly. It's also waaaaay less mental.

its a reason why old men in their 70s and 80s can still play basketball. NOBODY keeps playing football after the mid 30s lowkeyhighkey.

The only people that can make the transition are the people that did both they whole life and even then its gonna be hard just think about your muscle memory and how its locked into a certain set of skills you have to develop that even just to compete

NBA players be 6’7 172 pounds. They not lasting past training camp. Also can you catch the ball knowing you about to get cracked? That mentally will make bad football players. Then can you catch it w ppl grabbing and tugging you then can you catch it with multiple players on you. Then can you catch it with a helmet on and shoulder pads. Then can you catch it when the defense knows it’s coming to you.

DeAron Fox is tough. Could be a hell of a playmaker at receiver given the time/experience I think. In the very select few that I believe could actually make the leap. But to be honest the conversation is stupid, its legit one degree removed from Which NHL player could play in the NBA and vice versa. Just ludicrous, 99% of the players that have ever played in either league wouldn’t stand a chance in the other, the rare Bo Jackson, Prime, Allen Iverson, Russell Westbrook, all can sort of be imagined, but only because of the edge to all of their games: Their level of athletic talent and the hardwork it took to maintain & maximize it. Past a certain height in Bball and it starts to be laughable unless your shaq, I think its not about toughness at certain dimensions, take an extreme example- I think we’d all agree KG was tough enough for football but he’d have been seriously injured by some edge of the roster middle linebacker that eats a salad with his hands at lunch if you put him on offense. He wouldn’t survive on defense. Too thin for all positions but DB, not fast/agile enough in short area to be effective there either. The same cuts the exact other way in football, Only your Big Bodies are going to be beating out NBA level skillsets on any kind of basis, sorry to everyone in the NFL under 6’0 because there simply aren’t that many guys that are gunna beat out the Chris Paul’s and Donovan Mitchells of the world. Unless one of those big boys has that legendary touch and can find a weight they can move in those sharp angle short areas like NBA guys and have some ups to em they better be the next Dennis Rodman or Charles Barkley on the boards.

It’s very difficult to shoot that ball. We’re talking with a pro guarding you not at the 24. It’s extremely difficult to dribble in front of a pro. Football players wouldn’t even make a team.

Did this dude just say, that’s just being physical that’s not football? BRUH WTF DO YOU THINK FOOTBALL IS!!!!??? Do you think we go out there and touch each other like oh my friend I will lower my shoulder gently into your rib cage, as you catch the ball, and the linemen r like you sir will come at me with every elbow, slap, and punch you can to get to my qb and I will softly try and stop, because we’re non physical. Dude sniffs glue.

Yeah, Tony Gonzalez played basketball in college too. All those 2 sport athletes were better at football. Charlie Ward was one of the few that could actually play in the NBA. Miles Garrett is too swole to play in the NBA, dude isn't guarding any 2 or 3s, and he's too short to guard anyone taller. Most of the other dudes too short, they ain't playing point.
