Watched a play today where Matthew Stafford ran, got hit, dislocated his shoulder, jumped up and yelled "I can throw it if you need to" to the coach, then with a dislocated shoulder throws a ball to set up a game winning field goal. Never saw him tap his helmet.

Imagine you’re the boss of a restaurant. You have a proven, decorated chef. However you just hired a young chef, and he’s working well enough through his shift. Takes his fair share of piss/smoke breaks, and knocks down some tickets when he’s in the kitchen. An hour and a half before close he says. ‘I’ve done a lot of cooking, I’m tired.’ Then proceeds to clock out. As boss how do you address you’re new young chef?

Professional non college sports makes no sense to me. What local pride do you have to hold on to? Just a bunch of dudes traded around from all over the country. Not even going to a school or part of a local institution beyond the team. I have no hometown pride for any major league team. Your team didn’t beat anyone. Just a bunch of dudes beat other dudes. I’ll get that from UFC
@FeedRevo12 күн бұрын
Because if every home team only drafted players from they’re home town, there would be no parity. The southern teams would dominate in football, the northern teams would dominate in hockey, etc. Just because the player isn’t from where your team is, doesn’t mean he can’t eventually call * insert city here* their home. Also, high school players commit to colleges outside of their state a lot of the time, so your school/local institution argument falls short

@codyb190911 күн бұрын
@ to an extent but like Lamar Daniels is pretty good in the pocket. I’m not saying it alright that Richardson left because he was too tired but on the same hand I can’t really fault him. He was an extremely developmental talent that needed to be mentored in order to succeed because he comes from a super college organization. I’d take a wild guess and say Richardson doesn’t fully grasp how important his position is and the sacrifices that are needed to be made. In college Richardson would’ve been encouraged to sit out if he was too tired whereas with the NFL that shows you don’t want it enough. Unfortunately I think he’s a bust and the Colts failed him. The GM didn’t let him develop behind a veteran last year and when he was hurt there was no expectation for him to attend practices or even games.

Playing quarterback is generally easier on your body than playing a lineman or end. But it depends on how often you get hit. You can tell it's easier on your body because the average QB career is a few years longer than a lineman.
