You made it back to Oregon!! And it was sunny this time! 🙌🏼 So, crazy thing….. a few months back my husband had some training up near Portland and I went with him (with our corgi, Latte, in tow) and after I dropped him off I was craving some coffee and immediately went to Stomping Grounds (yeah, YUM!) and then to the Columbia River Gorge to explore! The strangest part is that while I had told my husband about Latte and my day, it was crazy to watch this and be like, “that’s where we went!” Followed by, “and then we went there! That’s the [insert “trail” or “waterfall”] I was telling you about!” Truly, it is a small world….. While I absolutely despise Portland, the surrounding areas sure are beautiful! Might have to look into sailing next time we are up there…… 🤔 And a burger at the only “Twin Peaks” that seems appealing…. 😉

Beautiful scenery reminds me of Ireland. Switching gears..speaking of poor bathrooms - Stacey & I were with my mother one time at Mt Wash. that had port- a -potties at the base. When we all came out of our respective ones my mother said “that one was really nice it even had a sink with a bar of soap in it”. I said no Mom that wasn’t a sink and that WAS NOT a bar of soap. We were rolling.

I grew up in the gorge and you guys are doing things I've never done. I did spend a lot of time on the Columbia river on my jet ski though. I recently moved to central Florida so nice seeing some scenery from home.

If you love falls the next time you find yourself here , you should definitely go to silverton and go to silver creek falls.😅 There's an entire path of different falls.And then there's the big one that you can go behind. Born and raised in Oregon and spent 20 years living in Portland suburbs, the Gorge is stunning for sure. Oregon has so much beauty, all within a few hours drive. If you ever get back to the area, the McMenamins Edgefield is a great place to stay. It has restaurants on site, a movie theater, soaking pools, golf course and winery. It's so relaxing! Loved seeing your take on the waterfalls and surrounding areas. Cheers
