The street is a public place. A university campus less so. A lecture hall, specifically during a scheduled class is a place where students pay (in the US extraordinary high) fees to listen to an academic lecture about a specific topic, not about the just and humanitarian cause of yours or mine. Don't know about "always", but here the issue discussed is Jews not feeling safe on campus due to harassment from pro Palestinian protestors, so naturally the pro Palestinian is questioned. What we all need to protest is the fact Americans are asked to sacrifice more for Israel than the citizens of Israel themselves are willing to. Israel is a rich country. Their citizens enjoy national healthcare, subsidized college, and spend $55M a year to provide free 10day vacations for their Birthright program. We don't have those luxuries, but somehow, we're expected to fund the national security of a non-US State/non-NATO member. If national security is of such importance to them, why are they not willing to make cuts to fund it? It's time to fund America.
