This World Leaders Forum program features a discussion with Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, chair of the National League for Democracy, Member of Parliament from Kawmhu Constituency, and recipient of the 1991 Nobel Peace Prize. Ann Curry, national and international anchor and correspondent for NBC News moderates. Ms. Suu Kyi discusses the role of education and health on human development and Burma's political transition.

Myanmar is a country which is govern by the military form of government over the years. Myanmar is a country where it's citizens are not allowed to do anything according to their wishes and the citizens are forbidden in the exercise of the rights as a free citizens. However, Aung San Su Kyi took the courage to fight against the absolute power exercises by military form of government and to eradicate military regimes. She fought tirelessly in the face of adversity with a view to replace the tyranny government by democratic forms of government. I'm a big fan of Mother Aaan San Su Kyi. Love from India 🇮🇳

Military is a service organisation for aa country...but this junta operating private business like running beer factories, Jade business, oil and gas business...never heard this type of business runs by Army around the world with democracy !

I think Myanmar should have a President and two Vice Presidents. One of the Vice Presidents should be a member of the House of Military. The House of Military has soldiers.

This is exactly what we have in 2nd general election. 2010-2015, the President and both two vice presidents were ex military person. 2015-2020 have the President and one vice president from NLD party and one from ex military party.

According to Myanmar's presidential system, 25 percent of the army is exempt! In fact, according to democratic practice, the military is not allowed to participate! I want you to be aware that this country has a system of dictatorship that has not yet been rooted! You need to know that the army is not a party to the people, but that the army is always involved in a system that forces the people to be innocent. We have promised to give up our lives to end the tyranny that has been tied to us for many years.

You can't know the situation of a country without learning about it. I'm sure that you won't get the answer if you only read news from one side. Our country is not like other country . The military control almost the whole system of the country(Now the whole) and there were very little things that she could do . She did try to her best even though she can't . So for Myanmar she will be still an important leader of ours.
