Nice job on the raised bed and storage. I am staying in my 2006 Buick Rainier two nights per week, to reduce commuting time. Fitted black poster board to the left rear window and curtains to the rear door windows and across the seat backs. Found a seat back organizer that holds my iPad while sitting in the third seat of an evening. Cozy. Thanks for the tips.

I have a 2019 Ford Escape. Last summer I had one seat taken out and built a wooden platform. However for this coming camping season i will take out the other seat and have more room. My seats do not fold down so they are in the way and since it is just me and my little dog I don't need the back seats. You have some great ideas i am going to use. Much appreciated.

a couple of nice ideas I can take away from this vdo.. I like the headrest phone mount and the s hooks.. your seats fold flatter than the ones in my trailblazer but the platform is kind of what I had in mind

Hello. Love the accessories. Can you share link for "hat rack magnet" mount on the side car that you also use to hang and watch your phone? Thank you.

What is the length from front seatback to tailgate? You said 61” in video 1 - but you look taller than 5’1”

Just a suggestion for the empty space on the other half but I could see you using that space to create more storage and maybe some sort of table top and throw some solar panels on the roof. Also it probably gets hot in the summer there so maybe get some sort of screeen you can use to still have the windows open and use a fan to cool down. Lots of inspiration for my tb

For my windows I bought, very reasonable price, mesh with elastic to fit over the glass rolled up or down. That way I have fresh air and not bugs. And no condesation.

I have a 2008 Ford escape and it seems to be about the same size as your vehicle. I am definitely going to do to mine what you did with yours. Am a 68 year old gal who has gypsy blood in me. Wish me luck. Love your vid and your ideas. Thanks

Anyone know the exact dimensions for the bed frame? Because I know the legs near the front need to shorter because of the slant of the folded down seats

good lord, just make some reflectix covers. you can customise their shape so they sit inside the window, and since they literally stick to the glass, you gain some valuable inches. it makes for a big difference, less claustrophobic. but i love all your other ideas!

Yes exactly what I was thinking and would look more streamlined with no GAPS.

Hello, great job on your build. I hope that you had power tools for yours! Check out Descend on Bend in La Pine Oregon this year. You and your Westie will fit right in. See you out there. Cheers!

I'll tell you what I did for my window covers. I took some of those binder clips things (black with silver squeezers) and slid them in between the plastic body panels and the roof. One squeezer in, one exposed. Then, I got a couple black plastic $1 tablecloths. I lined up where the tablecloths would match up to the clips. Then I put duct tape in that spot. Clip another set of clips where the tape is, and you can hook the two silver ends of the clips together, effectively making curtains. The tape acts as anti tear protection.

Those gaps at the top, corners and edges of the window blankets can be eliminated by leaving a "ruffle" at the the top that touches the the ceiling and closes the gap.

Hi, I have a 2004 Santa Fe that I want to convert, mainly 'cause I'm 62 now and would feel safer in my car when camping alone. So I'm searching for ideas and found you. I like your bed, but it looks a little short. Have you got plans to piano hinge a pillow area extension? I know you would have to slide your front seat forward and tilt the back of the seat forward. Would that cause problems with the mesh between the seats? I would love to know where you bought that mesh pocket thing, also!! So, I just saw your curtains. Why don't you use Refletix on the inside of the back windows? I saw where one owner used some Velcro strips, top and bottom, to hold material tight to the inside body shape rather than letting them hang straight down. That would be a good option for you I think, especially if you don't want to use Reflectix. I also saw a very cool idea for the curtain between the front seats and the back area. This lady took a flat piece of (I think aluminum), curved it at the appropriate places and slid the ends between the top liner and the plastic seat belt covers. I can't find it again, or I would give you her video link. She might have had it supported in the middle, but I think it was sturdy enough not to need it. She hung her curtains on this, but I don't see why you couldn't drape your blanket over the bar. Anyway, I enjoyed your video. Keep up the good work.

Just a quick comment. If you make more videos, please check your audio. Your intro "Toy Haunter" is much louder than the regular segment. Listening on earbuds just about killed my ears. Otherwise great content.
