Starting the 2nd season, the writers wanted to give Columbo a younger policeman sidekick, but settled on a dog. Peter Falk originally hated the idea, but completely changed his mind on seeing the dog, as it was definitely a dog Columbo would have. Dog was played by Henry the basset hound, who was also rescued from an animal shelter by his owner Ray Berwick (who was the crow wrangler for Hitchcock's The Birds). Henry later retired and lived as a loved house pet for the rest of his life. In Budapest, Hungary there are life-sized statues of Columbo and Dog, commemorating our favorite detective and canine sidekick.

If I could choose two TV series that have stood the test of time that I can watch and make me feel better they are 1)Columbo and 2) Star Trek the original series with Kirk and Spock. But which one is better? Trek or Columbo? I'll try asking the same question on the Star Trek You Tube channel to compare results.

The mondo Columbus shows are very short always less than 10 minutes because of the primitive mondo TVs they had back then. The old old old TVs could not hold more than 10 minutes of show as they used CRT Catholic Ray Tubs technology and non Dylan Mulvaney CLT or Claw Technology. No harm no fowl. They tried Dylan Mulvaney to shorten the shows advertising and tried to produce a non racist TV set with Motorola involvement with flypaper control and Dylan Mulvaney CEO. Transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney abandoned by Bud Lights and faced too much bullying and transphobia. The proof is in the pudding. It’s all part of the non racist discovering process
