My wife and I live in southeast Alabama. We just accidentally went into Westerville, dove through downtown, and instantly fell in love with the place.

Thank you! Yes, going to all the different locations is time consuming, but makes for a better video in my opinion. I don’t like to stand in front of a green screen with a teleprompter, and much prefer being on location. I may forget some things but personally would prefer to watch vids on site so that’s what I do. Thanks for taking the time to watch the video and leaving a comment!

Other than Worthington, the other four suburbs are rapidly building out and expanding. Worthington has its charm. Don't get me wrong, but it is a landlocked suburb like the aforementioned Marble Cliff, Upper Arlington, and Grandview Heights. A smattering of Columbus is growing northwest to Plain City, as is Dublin, which is also growing toward the growing Marysville. Powell is following with development towards Delaware. Westerville built out by the 2000s. There have been no major annexations to bring more redevelopment properties into the city. Could be considered a landlocked suburb like Gahanna? No disparagement intended. Columbus and it suburbs offer something for everyone.

I would like to know your thoughts and opinions on groundbreaking on North Market Tower skyscraper 31 Story tower. And Just so you know the North Market parking lot is closed 🔒 permanently right now.

I think it will hurt business there to some degree, at least initially for the weekend crowds. However, surface parking lots are not the best use of space especially in a downtown area. I’ll look into it more, but that is my first blush

With your definition of suburb, when Galena, Delaware and Marysville are fully developed, will Powell, Dublin, New Albany and Westerville still be suburbs? They will not be; because they will no longer be the furthest away from the downtown city center (as you defined it). Arlington was a suburb until Hilliard and Dublin developed. Future- Dublin was a suburb until Plain City and Powel developed- see the logic?

Were Polaris and Easton excluded because they were not as good, or because they are actually part of the city limits of Columbus?

SO True! Outside the belt is a little better but Columbus in general is a rather snobbish wasteland. I've lived in 5 addresses in Ohio now .... and Columbus is the WORST!

Which is more bicycle and longboard friendly Westerville or New Albany?
@bottleflips3617 Жыл бұрын
Probably Westerville, it’s got the Hoover resevoir which has a lot of biking trails and also inniswood gardens which are nice. New Albany is a little out in the country and it’s all boring brick. Also new Albany is insufferable

You definitely have to have money to live in New Albany. That small town feel will disappear once Intel moves in. Construction just started and crime is already increasing.

Dude- lost my sub by your def of “suburb”& excluding Grove City & choosing all “suburbs” to the North that the rest of us consider often to be the “snob’s knobs” of C-bus. Def not a wide range of Cols places to live, period. Did you even consider the staggering stats of GC rivaling your chosen “suburbs”. At same distance as your choices? Could’ve at least ventured into other areas S of I-70! Constructive criticism only -but geographically limited imvho.
