Beautiful scenery! I think the videos from inside the vehicle we're cool. It gave me a great perspective of just how steep the terrain really is out west. The camera tends to flatten out some of the other shots of the obstacles.

Nice review of that leg of your journey. Had the same issue with a serpentine belt. Found out to keep using it damaged, to cut that entire "rib" away which provides a better balance as the belt rotates. Used it damage for about 350 miles without any problem, they are darn tough with the steel wire in them. Love the red Jeepster Commando...they sure have the body style. Maybe your Comanche repairs and fixes will include a more quiet muffler system...ruins the view hearing that beast. Likely that water came from a rainstorm zipping through at some point earlier. Likely there's more on the "broke list", keep us tuned in ! Oh, the diesel Jeep is interesting but not when it spews out the black soot. I'd make him the caboose.

Great day and a good showing! Of course there are kinks and problems to solve. Good luck with that steering pump 👍 When you got time here's a 25¢ Idea 🤔 Double the exoskeleton bar over the windshield across the roof and H it with the rear cross member. Safety 1st.

Just before 8:48 you left Poison Spider and then you were on Golden Spike trail. 8:48 was the Launch Pad Obstacle. 19:10 is Double Whammy. 24:28 is Golden Crack. About 25.48 is when you were turning onto Gold Bar Rim.

Some nice looking Rigs, I thought they all did good but the YJ looked awesome. Looks like you lost some of the crew along the way. Looks like the comancheep rocked out as well. Saw the zip ties, disappointed though, didn't see any duct tape, Lol. How about investing in some windex if you are going to keep filming through the windshield. LOL. Great video, love Moab but have never got to wheel there. Thanks for posting.

Awesome stuff Matt. You are going to have to answer the question we are all thinking: So which do you like better, the Scorpion Crawler or the Commancheap?
@bleepinjeep6 жыл бұрын
Both! No I like the scorpion better so far but maybe only because there are still bugs to work out on the mj.
@DrHavok16 жыл бұрын
I freakin love the scorpion still, it's my favorite but the heap will grow on me as you add and subtract from it....like adding a toolbox like the scorpion has, doing mods to the front suspension, making half doors, getting maxxis to shoot you some 44" trepadors...for FREEEEE! (hopefully lol) I'm excited to see the heap get into some nasty situations and show us what it's made of in the near future... BJ FOR LIFE!

Beautiful landscape. Your truck seems to run well. I thought it might have a problem climbing up on places from having a lack of weight on the rear, but it seems to just fine.
@redxj49686 жыл бұрын

2 questions... Why leaf springs up front? And did you really not make a cup holder for your Dr. Pepper? Haha
@TwoAMBlacktop6 жыл бұрын
Eric Stephenson that's what was on the CJ that he got everything off of.
@DrHavok16 жыл бұрын
Lmao the moment I seen the Dr I had to think back......wait.....didn't he mention cup holders during the build..........hmm.... That was the scorpion....haha
@ericstephenson36176 жыл бұрын
TwoAMBlacktop I know. I'm just wondering why the person who built the cj would 4 link the back, but have leaf springs up front. That's doesn't make sense to me. Is there any rhyme or reason to this? or was it just a half finished project?
@TwoAMBlacktop6 жыл бұрын
Eric Stephenson probably the same reason Matt used it, it’s what he had.
@Wooskii16 жыл бұрын
+Eric Stephenson I'm not an expert, but this is my personal experience, so correct me if I'm wrong; CJ-7's and YJ,s ride really rough because you nearly sit over the (light) rear end/axle, with stiff leaf springs. It's much easier to 4 link/coil the rear end, helping 2 problems- flex and ride. The the engine/etc. are in the way making front coils a bit more difficult, but you can still live with leafs up front, as clearly demonstrated... (possibly due to the weight of the motor???)
