You see I have experienced in my life my uncle be a vegetable for 30+ year because his wife at the time refused to pull the plug. My entire family wanted to but it was her who had the final say. If I remember correctly the dr said it was a 95% chance he will be brain dead and she still refused. He woke up was brain dead she divorced him and was seen again. And left my elderly grand parents to take care of him physically and financially. So depending on the drs recommendation would pull the plug and if it was me I would want my plug pulled immediately.

Unfortunately, muscle atrophy would happen with a long coma. Physical therapy would be necessary after a long coma.... Your body wouldn't be the same.... You would feel weak and be thinner..... Your mobility would be horrible after a long coma. Also, you aren't getting the foods you normally get while not in a coma. They have to feed you a different way... Not alot of nutrients. Just enough to keep your body alive. They have to do things like make sure you don't get bed sores, clean you, deal with your body wastes, and etc

I initially picked 10 years with full body function, but then I realized that means my cats would probably be dead already when I wake up. So I'll rather be in a coma for a year and then wake up with my lower body paralyzed. It would suck but at least I'll have my cats with me.
