I totally get what Joe is saying. I grew up in southern az (I'm Mexican) and in my town, Mexicans are the majority not the minority. So I'm used to seeing Mexicans in jobs like doctors, lawyers, nurses, teachers, etc. But when I moved to the Midwest I found myself part of the minority and I understood why some people believe the stereotype about Mexicans only working in construction, or roofing, or landscaping. Because in other parts of the US people only see Mexicans in these trades. I think that's why it's important for people to step out of their bubbles and experience different cultures even just within the US.

I remember during the Covid19 lockdown, you had these two big tentpole Disney films: Black Widow and Mulan. Mulan was this all Asian cast ensemble film that was a live action remake of the animated movie, and it got sent to streaming on Disney+, but for the all white people cast, Black Widow, that was held back on release until theaters could open, and they put that on the big screen. And you know what happened? The leading actress Scarlett Johansson sued Disney for MORE MONEY because after they gave her produced movie the big screen treatment, she complained that she got screwed out of the percentage gross with their day and date, when the movie was release in theaters and on streaming service too close to each other. You didn't see anyone from Mulan sue Disney. They know their career would be over. But here again is the white privilege of Scarlett Johansson getting the big screen love from Disney and still went after them in court. This is why the industry needs a separate Asian American run studio. Disney did the Asian American community dirty by shoving Mulan to streaming to boost their new platform, and it was the only money maker since the theaters and theme parks were closed for Covid19.

The comment section shares my opinion on the asian entertainment landscape (especially for leading male roles). Established Asian actors are either aging or lack the necessary influence, while emerging talents are still finding their footing. A contemporary figure, comparable to Bruce Lee or an Asian Brad Pitt, seems overdue. Jackson Wang, already acquainted with Anthony from JK, stands out as a strong candidate. K-pop holds immense sway and pull for large profits, especially among the youth. However, K-pop's mainstream androgenous and flower boy aesthetic doesn't always align with the Western market. Notably, K-pop has seen success with Western-raised talents like Amber Liu, Felix, Jay Park, Rosé, and Jennie. The winning formula involves identifying a talent with a Western upbringing, K-pop affiliation, English proficiency, and charismatic persona and a style that aligns with the western audience-a mold Jackson Wang can somewhat fit into This perspective reflects the potential for a new era of Asian representation.

To builld upon what was said at the 20:00 mark, I remember back in high school they were showing the Joy Luck Club in class, and it was a big deal because you had Asian Americans with a leading role and it was a all Asian cast. And at the time they had Better Luck Tomorrow which was another all Asian American cast, and Jackie Chan just found success with Rumble in the Bronx and the Rush Hour series in the western market. And for like the first time I saw a Asian American with a steady role in MadTV, Bobby Lee, and that was something that SNL only recently emulated a few years ago with a first Asian American cast. Then something happened, a whole 20 years pass by and the Asian American community was ignored, well the Asian female was fetishized with Lucy Liu in Charlie's Angel. And the last 20 years was supposed to be the Asian American community's moment in the limelight, but instead what we got was the gay community who went and took everything: TV and movies. And Hollywood over done it so much that it's not even a thing anymore, the story well dried up, and so after a long drought, they finally came around to the Asian American community for Crazy Rich Asians, a first all Asian cast in like 2 decades, and it made news headlines. Despite it's success with box office and reviews, it didn't get a sequel. However, Michelle Yeoh who was a Bond girl and was in Crazy Rich Asians, got the Best Actress award for Everything Everywhere. And the Asian American community finally got their superhero comic book movie in Shang-chi the Ten Rings. For a long time, the Asian male character has been emasculated, and that has coloured the way western females view them in the dating scene. Even in the adult industry, the Asian straight male performer has not existed in the mainstream porn industry and in that arena, the focus is mostly on white and black males that influences who women want to date in the real world.

As far as making Asian shows go, I think it would depend on who the show is for. Is it for Asian people or is it for everybody? I like Joe's point of not asking White America to bankroll a show that is for Asians. Because you wouldn't ask Asian billionaires to fund a show that is for White people either. Also I think making a show just for just an Asian audience (or for just any one race/ethnicity) is inheritably going to be corny. It is just going to be shit like, Grandma left the rice cooker on again! Instead of something that everyone can enjoy like a lot of shows that come out of Korea like Squid Game. I didn't really like the show, but Beef on Netflix is a show that everyone could enjoy as well and that one is Asian American.

My personal favorite Asian-stereotype is ‘Pioneer’. Also… my favorite Asian stereotype is the unfair disadvantage that all the white people know about Asian men! It’s heredity; and I have no control why my mom supplied me with such an un’fruit filled ability to attract a counter-part to hold a hand with. I cann’t ask my dad as to why my luck in finding a wife to share a mortgage with to cook cook-book food with? Guy problems are horrible, I donn’t want to be a further burden to another man with habitual wants and needs. My sashimi don’t stink. I poo. I know how gross my backend smells after a third day shower. I gross myself out so much when I shower that I avoid looking down at all costs! I’m getting old; I know how calories work; I’m hungry abundantly, and when I eat I get gut fat. I know how to clean my privates! My sashimi has no price and it smells like nothing compared to my crap toilet! I shower my hair, and wash my body. As I use the soap to sanitize, I know I’m fat, I feel generous, and then I start soaping my legs and rub the bottom of my feet even between the toes and feel refreshed. I pee sitting down sometimes now. I work for benefits that cater only to the hardest workers ever to exist on God’s green earth. I don’t understand why as a minority my penis has to be so small? So very very small? So disgustingly small that you need a magnifying glass to use tweezers to make my nuts tickle a fume or a barely spurt stain to write on a white piece of paper with no ink. That disgusting. I go to eat where people speak different languages and eat with chopstix. I don’t compare to any chopstix when I’m eating my genitals just start vibrating speratically! Muscle spasms start making my little flicky winky go ballistic!!! Really, serious! It starts wiggling so hard and fast, but it’s flaccid?! How can this be? How is eating with chopstix making my penis jiggle and growl like a little wild animal that can’t bark?! I eat spicy noodles and it makes it worse!!! My penis feels like it’s snake diving around my balls! My scrotum-balls!? Why?! How come my feelings to look for a woman totally go away when I’m eating hot noodles with chopstix?! I try to play it cool everytime I leave a restaurant that serves chopstix as flatware. I know for a fact I’m a pretty lonely person who’s the only one that has weird underpants problems eating with chopstix!? The culture in the states has no cure for my problems when I eat with chopstix. If I go to a burger joint, I already know my penis is little. I grab both the fries and burger; each one in either hand; and rape the heck out of my meal. Why?! Because my penis isn’t running wild around my nut-sack, my flaccid penis is very small. I know white people eat burgers, drink, and fries so I don’t care about their bad mannered language. I eat like an animal in a burger joint to get away from their evil-mean stares in hopes they don’t look at my pants front. The part of my pants with the zipper, where my underwear is under, and my small penis is just like a rotting prune under a kitchen sink with no cabinets. I’ll eat my food as fast as I can just to get away from people wanting to fraternize me or patronize me or apostisize on me! I’m not even interested in their creative problem solving talks; I hope I don’t get noticed by them because they might start using contradictive abuse words to use me as an example as to why “ALL” Asians have small penises?! “Not me! I’m eating! I’m just a weird guy eating so fast because I’m hungry.” I never ate in the dark-ghetto. I know not to go there because I’m not black or white. I know how strong guys are when they’re with pretty females. They’ll fight so hard to stay respected, because they work hard and can’t stand having different bums popping up in their spots! They know also about male Asian problems! They’d definitely use that truth against me because I could’ve just ate where I’m normal and not sticking out like a sore thumb. I don’t want no problem so I stay true to my upbringing and don’t wander into big dick ghettos. Doo! They’re big! White girls go eat at big dick ghetto spots because it’s risqué and makes their nipples perk so hard because they feel endangered like a poor woodland creature; one of those strong big dicks’ gone save ‘er! On the real girls going to the ghetto for dick are leaving with special powers! They get snappy and start power forwarding into situations they know the exact answers too! In the back of them girl’s heads is going back to get some good tasting chicken where the big dick’s good. Those big boob blonde girls are dangerous! They become so powerful that the big dick ghetto community gots her back so strong that the name of their gang isn’t either crip or blood!!! It’s elusive and mysterious; just like the big boob, huge butt, blonde hair woman-lady. She points her finger at anybody and says “They got g’uh’anz!” and her gang members start flexing so hard because the have dinguhlings so big that a man in prison could die off of a wiff of it!! The woman-lady is that powerful after ghetto bopping! That’s why I eat fast-food fast and weird just to leave and leave a lasting impression not to be oppressed because I never asked for any rude comment or entirely opinionated bigot ideology of what I’m not doing! At no instance would I ever go to a wholesome burger joint to show my little penis!!! I had no agenda to be a pretend-kind person just to ask people in my vasinity if my wiener really has no hope in being pleasurable to any woman at all. I then imagine being friends with a white guy and find love at first sight but my wiener is too small so I should just let him talk her into being his girlfriend so I could at least smell what pretty girls smell like; no touching. I wouldn’t ever try to touch any part of her person because I know how babies are made and I’m one-hundred percent sure that they both are entirely in forever-love so I shouldn’t touch any of her stuff or anything loose from her body. I’d be scared to brush skin accidentally with her! I might get bruised, or a witch following me out of nowhere!? Just because they’re in love and I accidentally touched her a witch starts following me?! Uh? Is it a trap or is it possibly my only way of feeling what it’s like to be pleasured sexually?! I’m sure it’s a trap! Witches eat prince feet. I know I’m not a prince, so she might just eat the whole of me and use my little Asian man-penis to use to make a curse? Iunno?!
