Assembling this bridge under the best of conditions looks to be very difficult. How about doing it while it is snowing and with you under artillery/sniper fire?

The Jeep at 14:15 has to be the most unsafe top heavy POS ever designed. The suspension on those things was so bad they would routinely go out of control just driving on the highway. I can only imagine how much worse that would be raising the center of gravity with so much extra weight.

I have been driving old jeeps since the 60's. Never had a problem with a well maintained one on the highway or off.

@@bobrobbell In the army they made us watch a safety video on these. The suspension on them causes fatal accidents at highway speeds. It starts rocking and keeps magnifying until it throws the Jeep out of control.

The phillipino's never had problems with. They made them into taxis after the war. Lol!

They were known to have front axle roll upon hard braking at high speed. Maybe that's what you're referring to. There was a mod that addressed that as time went on. There was a famous quote from Eisenhower? That more soldiers were injured from jeep accidents than the enemy.

@Toast N' Jam Do you have any idea if they were shown weekly or something to rear echelon personnel only as a propaganda peice or would it make it to more front line units?

@@Moredread25 those label restricted would have been for decision-makers in and out of the military. Non restricted were shown in movie theaters before the main attraction. It was done so people could see the reason "why we fight". And to let people on the Home Front see what was going on where their loved ones were serving. This helped the workers back home understand how important their work was. Every adult in my childhood was involved in the War one way or the other, my mother worked on light, medium and heavy bombers doing major repairs/upgrades that couldn't be done in Theater. My dad built airfields after his death my stepdad fought in the PTO, Pacific Theater of Operation from 42 till 45 as a Marine. Uncles in the Army Air Forces, US Navy, Marines and Coast Guard, Aunts were like my mom, War Production factories and in the Pentagon, It was Total war, not like today.
