When that happens to me i hold back and stick to dodging at first, then out of nowhere i kick into what my brother and friends call my "try hard mode" where i get insanely competitive and begin to do things that even i don't realize I'm capable of. this is everything I imaginated when I used the pencils in the school, a very epic fight like this. Then the protagonist is about to die and an ancient beast dormant inside him wakes up, feeding every fiber, cell and drop of blood with power. That was always what I wanted to see in an animation... sadly nothing really fills that place.
