Combat Pilot Experimental Prototype Presentation + Alpha Footage (FSExpo 2024)

Jason Williams (lead developer of Combat Pilot) and Carlos Flors (CEO of Barbed Wire) discuss the the (short) development of history of Combat Pilot as well as future plans. The team also presents early alpha footage of Combat Pilot while revealing the first large scale theater to be built for the game outside of the Battle of Midway will be The Solomon Islands.

This demo they showed could have been cobbled together in a weekend using unreal engine 5. I hate to be a dick but if this is all they've achieved since they started work they'd of been better off waiting to show it next year.

Given that they were the only combat-oriented flight sim developer to show up and discuss their game, I'm willing to give them a ton of latitude. As someone hoping to see that side of the expo continue to expand, I'm thankful that Combat Pilot put themselves out there and engaged with the community. I definitely understand your point about the demo but for me it's almost irrelevant this early in the development process...but the relationship/community building is incredibly welcome in this niche market.
