I just spent most of the day shooting my 12 gauge 500 Mossberg, and it really is one of the most reliable guns out there, the one I have was used by my grandfather and is now mine and I have used it to kill rabbits, birds, and coyotes it’s a great gun. As always love the content and keep it up.

This was a great video! Very well explained and put together. I think like you, a pump shotty is very effective and reliable. I built a tactical shotgun as well but I used my 870 express. It took some work since my build was a little unconventional, but it turned out great. Got a 100 rounds of buckshot for a really good price so as soon as I have a day off, I'm gonna go have some fun, lol.

Hi, do you know why it's even necessary to use loctite when putting the mag tube back in? Apparently the 590A1 doesn't have any on it. Any downside to not using loctite?

I haven’t used it on my 500 bc I want to be able to swap the spring when need be. I don’t think it’s necessary but not faulting the added security either

Grear video JP. I may have to break out my trusty pump gun tonight.... has a side saddle, but I accidentally blew the strap when I was fooling around with it set up as a pistol grip. Strap was loose, blew the end right off while shooting.! Of course, mine is a lowly Winchester Defender. What was the folder? Was it your "talwar" shaped folder?

Joe. Burke here. Have commented on some of your nice things & gone back & forth a little bit.My girl is a tad young for a phone (10 going on 18. You get me on that one id bet $.debatable these days for sure ,but you have to go with what you feel is right..mentioning this simply because of the round picture to the left & some other things she’s inadvertently done on the latest & last iPod Apple is going to offer.had to get her something & it can make calls & texts with an-app .to have your own identity with Apple,you must be 13.so we’ve merged into one in some ways..as far as the cloud is concerned.enough of that)haven’t seen you much,don’t expect you to see every comment from year back.This just caught my eye & your a pleasant dude to listen to & watch with guns..34 minutes & I don’t own a mossburg of any kind. Did however recently get my 1st pump gun(while making my occasional rounds ,looking at the new ,used guns.S&W revolvers ,for the most part,at the moment the local stores .like to go as often as possible. Never know what will come in or how long it’ll stay around. Wasn’t anything that caught my eye that day,except,not sure of the model # of hand ,but current production “357”on black laser etched grips..SS slabside,K,L frame. Lock model.Pro series & the trigger felt really good.you are much more knowledgeable and particular about your triggers.I’m learning. My trigger jobs are done by Father Time. With the older,preowned stuff. Anyhow,just wanted to say hi. The 870 express that I didn’t know I needed was carried in by a deputy I know. Was swapping out 1/2 dozen of 12 total at the moment. Came with the extension tube & shoots flawlessly. I’m starting with a sling. Then a light. Getting a shockwave maybe. Or a 500 at least. Thinking about a 20 .We’ll see. Going to keep the 870 simple. I’ve already taken it in a few boats.salt & fresh. Camping ect. No issues. Like it a lot but the 500 safety & a few other things is what I’d planned on getting. Couldn’t pass up the offer my guy gave me. Have a revolver question ,Garrett or side guard question,but gotta boogie. Running a little later than planned for picking my girl up from an after school thing. 2nd day of last year of Elementry. Thought I’d never ever have a child.Thought I wanted a boy…Daughters are the best.will catch up by on your YT stuff & maybe get your opinion on something. Later. Hey to bell & lady

Unfortunately the quality control on the newer ones is not very good at all, super disappointing the difference between the older models and what Mossberg is putting out now, the new stuff is Mexican made garbage with no quality control, better to go find an old used one than buy one of the newer ones, they are pure crap

They’re not Mexican made lol. They’re American made with SOME Mexican made components.
