I live minutes from where these shotguns are made in Idaho. I had the pleasure of meeting a couple of the co owners at the local range. They were test firing a couple shotguns mainly doing R&D on some new magazine designs. I was lucky enough to get to shoot a couple. First was serial number 2 that was the owners personal gun. The other was one that had a binary trigger in it. Since they were doing research they had to put many rounds thru them. I was lucky and was able to shoot several mags thru each. What an amazing gun!!! I however own a Saiga 12 and had it with me. I asked if they wanted me to get it and do a comparison since they both had never actually shot one. After several mags thru my Saiga they wanted to be able to tear it apart. But I've spent lots of time getting it to run all ammo very reliably and they had nothing bad to say. If the genesis was more budget friendly, I'd definitely own one!!!!

I own the Benelli you have there and this Gen-12. I love them both BUT my gen-12 will often times NOT lock open on an empty mag. It's had no rhyme or reason when it will or will not work. Sometimes full power ammo won't engage it and sometimes weak ammo will...it misses about 70% of the time. What bothers me is I've contacted them at least 3 times and no one has bothered to answer me. I tried to buy the suppressor and nobody answers me....seems like they got my $2500 plus dollars and that's all they cared about. I do love the gun but mines not quite right. It has never jammed I can say that. You pull the trigger and it goes bang. Good video!

Saigas do require some tweaking to get them to run well, and it helps to run 1,350 fps ammo to ensure cycling. A mag well can be added to Saigas and their clones to assist in switching mags otherwise it’s exactly like the AK which requires rocking the mag into place. The Genesis looks like it based on a AK design but without the flaws

That's got to be about 700 rounds per minute... With 12 gauge. Absolutely insane getting plastic hulls to run like that. You would think the heat and maliable plastic alone would render this impossible. Previously, like with the AA-12 project, it was deemed impossible to get a cartridge built like that to cycle that fast especially without the lifter system like a traditional tube shotgun has.

The high rate of fire makes it more controllable. It creates more of a constant force, it's like someone pushing against your hand rather than punching it. The feel of recoil is caused not by the force itself, but by the lag in reaction time in compensating for it. With a constant force you only experience ONE delay when first initiating fire.

I am surprised someone like TrueVelocity has not developed a rimless shotshell. Such a round developed specifically for magazine fed semi-auto shotguns could run at a slightly higher pressure, and give 12ga performance in a 20ga size round.

@@squidy4082 yeah sorta, the shotgun is an upper assembly that can fit on .308 AR lowers, or so they say, so you can exchange the upper for a normal .308 one to run a rifle, and exchange it back to a shotgun when needed, though i imagine it's not as simple as just pressing a button to switch
