The high ready in Ground Branch is actually a player choice. They are doing that manually. You can absolutely flag (and frag) your teammates if you aren't paying attention. Having a military background does help as far as tactics and communication goes in these games, but it absolutely doesn't translate into actual skill in the game. I'm an OIF combat vet, and I'm a mediocre player at best in these games. Maybe when I retire and my kids are all out of the house I'll get better, lol.

Gamology thx great watch, thank you for featuring my MIL channel. The reloading comment at 09:07 in the doorway was NOT me saying reloading, we tactically switched over as you would do in real life. I took front security as Grunt then took rear to reload. You were hearing his voice confirming to me he is reloading after an EPIC entry. The two guys reacting misunderstood that piece. I feel the same about this video it’s very amusing and I loved it. @gameology there’s a very interesting Vietnam combat video in arma 3 from OperationDrewski that he uploaded about an actual mission with actual Vietnam veterans that just so happened to fight in that actual mission IRL very cool experience along the way the veterans tell amazing stories maybe this catches Nate’s interest more I would bet on that.

This guy's story is actually inspiring af. My professor showed us a video biography about him. He went to the military and became a special forces guy. When he finished, he decided he wanted to play college football. He trained his ass off enough that the league noticed him and that's how he became the oldest football player to join the Texas Longhorns (iirc) ! A true American patriot 👍🏻

Finally Ground Branch is getting the coverage it deserves! Most people don't see it but a lot of what goes on in that particular milsim is all done manually, even the choice of reloading - quick reload discards the current mag completely while the slow reload keeps it regardless if the mag is empty or still have bullets left. You can even pick up the discarded mag if you didn't mean to quick reload a half mag.

For the 12 player communication, some games do have this kind of scale with a com system. And in most serious squad. Only the leader of each subgroup are authorized to discuss in the main channel, and com within the subs are kept to the minimum.

You can tell Israel is the gamer here, dude is doing some work defending our industry. My man! It's always a treat to see what game devs are getting right, and what they're dropping the ball on. The best shooters are the ones that marry the real with the exaggerated and the gamey in order to provide a more entertaining experience. For me, personally, I have zero interest in joining the military, and still my fascination with the tactics, the equipment and the simulation of it all can be served safely with this medium in a way that gives me a window into that world without costing me or my family. Mil-sim in gaming is great.

ground branch doesnt ding you for muzzle discipline but it is very unforgiving and 1 shot can put you down so those situations are quite tense sometimes

Something VR-related for these guys would be awesome, due to how different the gameplay is. I was always getting killed until I realized that, no, you can't manually reload an empty shotgun in seconds while an enemy is breathing down your neck like you can in something like CoD. You gotta toss it, and take out your sidearm. Or if you're feeling particularly badass, keep holding your primary gun, as you use your free left hand to draw the pistol from your left leg holster and headshot your enemy in one smooth motion!

That Tarkov clip was bush-leagues. Show him a clip that doesnt look so fuzzy and actually has something happen with a teammate. The running theme of the video was teamwork. Show a 5 man entering the dorms or fortress on Customs and he will know something of the intense Tarkov teamwork.

One thing that should have been mentioned about Tarkov in particular is the loot system. The reason the intensity is much higher than in Insurgency is because if you die in Tarkov you actually lose something.

I love playing insurgency sandstorm and I'm really good and when I play I not only commit to the objective I also commit to the bit if I'm betting shot and injured I scream out in pain and immediately call for some assist when I'm alone in an area before I go in and clear it because you need at least two people to properly clear a room. And when I'm with squad in a very open area I warn my squad about people who could easily ambush us and I always flash a room before moving in to clear. If my team or squad is in a place like Iraq I let them know that walls are thin and doors can easily be kick of the hinges
