Ugh.. that forklift... having to lift that load up that high, past the fence... I was almost shivering.

Should he be driving forwards with the load up in the air ? Backwards would be better .

Hi Jack, your question is very relevant - and the simple answer is, he should not be driving anywhere with the load above 1 meter. What we were taught acquiring our licenses driving a forklift, clearly states that we must keep the load down at all times. And trying to do what he is doing going backward would only make it even more dangerous, never mind impossible. That is exactly where the Combilift solution makes a difference, creating not only more storage - but also adding speed and safety to your material handling

@@Staudal If in this situation with a counter balance truck , driving backwards would keep the load against the heel if braking and using a banksman , of course not at the height you show here ! Combi's are a great truck and a well thought out answer to this problem shown here , although they are a back killer without an airsprung seat and extra vigilance is required when looking out of them due to the mast ( worse with a triple mast ) and exhaust stack blocking clear view which gives the neck extra wear and tear . Please provide them with a airsprung seat as standard....

@@SISU889 Jack, I can only say I appreciate your feed back - both the good and the not so good. I fully agree, a combilift should with an air cushioned seat as a standard - but at least it is on the option list. Further your feed back on the exhaust is valid, and even been considered on new models - where this has come down and out down in the chassis, or better yet fully remowed by going for our fully electric trucks. In regards to the mast, I would be inclined not to agree with you, as a traditional forklift offers you even worse view going frontal mode than a combilift, and when fully loaded you'd see nothing. As the combilift would take any load in the forks, go sideways and provide a fully free line of sight. @@Staudal Mmm.. disagree somewhat , on a combi fully loaded driving in side mode looking out of the door window , somewhat gives a slight " tunnel vision " and also bearing in mind , the cab metalwork around the driver which lowers the percentage of viewing on the drivers peripheral vision . But the advantages of a combi far outweigh those of a CB .
