Combine Clinic: Feederhouse

I understand the gap is not adjusted by the idler pulley. It is adjusted at by the all thread bolt with double nuts. Spin the front nut to the back nut, then turn together which turns the all thread bolt which adjusts the gap.

How do you loosen up a feeder house chain on a 9670 STS combine

There should be a tensioning bolt near the front of the feederhouse on either side...not sure if the adjustment is in the manual, but most likely.

Would you say lateral tilt is a must for Soybean and corn harvest? Or can I get away without lateral tilt?
