BIG NEWS! Skylum has just launched a summer sale where you can save a massive 81% off Luminar Neo here bit.ly/NeoSale But the cool thing is in addition to that they've given me a coupon code to share with you so you get to save ANOTHER 20% (use code AFF-T5C1C0 ) I really hope that helps you out! It should work for both the perpetual licence and the subscription too. Enjoy😄 Best wishes, Anthony

The idea of using HDR as a transition between dark and bright exposures is phenomenal. Not only for Luminar Neo, but for any workflow and software. I've just tried this out with LR + PS combo and it works beautifully. That simplifies the process and saves a lot of time. You are my hero! Thanks for sharing!

Hey, thanks for this video. Great info. I switched to luminar from Adobe after shutting down my real estate business (Sales business, not photos.) I didn’t know you couldn’t do hdr merges for real estate that easy in Luminar Neo. This is great to know. You find so many new ways of doing old tricks when you move a way from legacy software and ways of processing.

is there way to batch this so you can merge all the photos you just took from a real estate shoot instead of doing one photo at a time
@PhotoSnapMedia Жыл бұрын
I'm looking for this as well. 50+ photos from a RE photo shoot and multiple shoots a day...there's no way this method could be used. Too time consuming.

Can you batch process hdr's in Luminar? I think that's why I never bought it because I realized id have to manually run each image stack.
@archiphoto Жыл бұрын
As yet the batching functionality hasn't been added to the HDR extension. Hopefully in the near future....

Nope. Max of 5 photos at a time. LET'S GO Luminar Neo!!!...Allow multiple stacking!

Although this process produces good results it takes way too long for a real estate photographer who may have 50+ images to edit on multiple shoots a day. What is the fastest way to complete properly exposed window pulls using Luminar Neo? I find the brush tool is not precise enough to get into the corners of windows and the application doesn't offer a polygon selection tool to select a window to pull a different layer through. Any advice?

Thank you so much for this video Anthony! It is really helpful. I have a question when I try to get the 2nd layer with my photo after the merge and transferring to the architecture pictures folder, I can only apply presets that are there and don’t have access to the other pictures in the folder to open. Do you have any idea about why is this happening and how I will be able to put that second picture in the second layer? I will appreciate any help with that. Thank you!

Is that an add-on to Neo? Mine doesn't have the HDR merge option?
@AnthonyTurnham Жыл бұрын
Yes it's one of Neo's extensions. If you have a subscription to Neo it's included in that or your can buy it separately as a plugin (or "extension" in Luminar lingo). I just checked and they're running 50% off of it on a Black Friday sale here: bit.ly/HDR4NEO There's a whole extension pack or hand pick just HDR merge which is at the bottom of the list! Hope that helps 😀
@wolfiemedia Жыл бұрын
that's awesome!@@AnthonyTurnham I have Aurora HDR, but it won't open CR3 RAW files - I wonder if this will be the same? The HDR Merge software looks identical to Aurora HDR. Do you have a CR3 file you could test? ha ha - I'll head over and buy it!

I'm facing a word issue, I hope Anthony or someone can help me! I set the camera profile and optic settings and I merge the 5 pictures. Then I try to use this system with HDR as a transitional picture but it doesn't match the first picture with the right exposure. WHY? 😢

Hi Anthony, I've been working through your various tutorials on HDR blending through Luminar Neo (which I've recently purchased). Can you tell me why I might be getting a lot of noise in my images after blending 5 exposures? This is limiting the additional work that I can do in post. I would be extremely interested in your feedback. I look forward to hearing from you. Cheers 🙂
@AnthonyTurnham3 ай бұрын
Hi Tracy. Additional noise after HDR blending in Neo? It's not something I've experienced tbh. Perhaps try reaching out to Skylum support. They may need a bit more info around your process - e.g. how you're prepping the files or if you're just using raw etc. but they may be able to help.

Great to see an alternative quick option to LR. How does Luminar’s HDR quality compare to your Lightroom process?
@AnthonyTurnham Жыл бұрын
Very well. It's a complete and realistic HDR that Neo's HDR extension creates. And it does it all automatically. Lightroom's HDR creates a lovely data-rich 32bit file but there's no tonemapping like in Neo so the user still needs to bring back the highlights and shadows. In terms of simplicity and automation while maintaining a strong result it's NEO for the win. As is often the case if you've got the time and expertise Adobe's solutions give finer control over the end result.

the HDR photo is not on the first place. I did try this and doenst work for me . Why ?

Do you mean not on the top of the layer stack? You can drag layers to rearrange them.

Hi Anthony ! I like to watch your video, your tutorial did help me to improve my interior photography, and thanks to you I have been using Luminar 4 to enhance my photo to another level. I tried to message you on Instagram but not sure if you have received, figure it would be wise to comment here. I would like to ask if you do any flash / flambient shot for interior photo ? I do not have any knowledge of flash so I only use HDR method to blend photos, but I wonder if flash / flambient are necessary for interior or architecture.. do you do any tutorials of that ? Or you simply prefer HDR bracketing ? Many thanks !! Apology to my lengthy message.

@@kenwong4497 Hi Ken. Yes I do use the flambient technique aswell. You'll find more tutorials on blending methods I use on my architecture editing channel. Good idea to leave a comment here, I'm rarely on Instagram.

mmm not convinced on the results particularly for interior shots, HDR still doesn't look as polished as a well executed flambient (it just look like an iPhone foto). Exposure blending is ok for exteriors and very large spaces though.
